Title: 1377 or 1322
Post by: ccmasquirrelhunter on August 05, 2013, 09:46:29 AM
I want to buy one of these pistols just because of its great reviews and its amazing price. I would like to target shoot and do light hunting with the gun. Down the road I will also be doing some light modding.
Is it true that even though the 1322 has more powwr it is less effective because of the lack of penetration? I don't mind spending the extra money fr 22 cal plinking because I already have a 22 but on the other hand I wouldn't mind to buy .177 cal pellets.

Why not pick up the 1377 then down the road you can get a .22 bolt and barrel and swap them out.

I would like to get it as a gun I can easily bring with me if I don't want to haul my 392 around..... Game size chipper, squirrel, birds(crow, dove) etc nothing bigger than a squirrel though

How about a Crosman Bugout Kit, quick removable stock lets you stow it in the included backpack. The 12" barrel will give more power, and the bigger pump handle will keep you from pinching fingers.

I heard that too but don't know at what distance... I've never had any problems... Maybe they were pushing the limits of their 1322s as a pistol...

Yes, they are basically the same as the 1322 and 1377 with the extras thrown in.

another vote for the DBO  8)
mine should be here tomorrow  ;D i ordered the steel breech and scope mounts with it and i've got a wally world CP 4-16x40 waiting for it  :D $125 delivered from PA plus $74ish at WW and i've new toy to tinker with over time  ;)

BTW a flat top piston and valve plus a 24 inch barrel should get to low to mid 600's with 15 pumps for hunting . i'm thinking 5-6 pumps will be ok for 20 yard paper/plinking

You'll need a set of grips as the Bugout only has the stock.  Get the screws too.
I would suggest the 1701 type grips.  1700-032 R , 1700-031 L.  Don't have the fake wood look and more match the pump arm.  Also about the same price.
