Post by: palonej on July 25, 2013, 03:59:33 AM
Think I'll keep this one. 1 day old, shoots 4 pellets amazingly and Scott tells me she should get better with time. Each group is 10 shots. Shoot n see FTTs, card JSB Express. Better???????
Very accurate and easy handling rifle!!!

50 yards is for wannabe pool sharks .... Do 100 yards and we may take notice (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/smilies/snork.gif)

That said tongue and cheek .... Nice shooting Joe !

Thanks guys!!! Spent some more time with this girl yesterday and am falling deeply in love!!! She loves FTTs and is slinging them at a very consistent 900 - 906 fps.....laser beam straight!!! More powerful than I thought she'd be. The gun is just plain solid!! Cocking stroke extremely smooth with definite lock up. CLUNK!! Trigger is spectacular!! Loving adjustability!!
Accuracy is totally stupid!! My nephew's first shot was trying to take the sprayer off an aerosol can at 50 yards. He did it on his first shot and I saw that silly grin spread across his face!!
Absolutely awesome rifle!! Scott outdid himself with this one!!

cool Joe brought the TX home from Mike (Oakey) and he let me play with his I think it was a Talon in .22. Very accurate and stupid accurate says cost less than a Marauder with a military discount

You will be hooked just as I have been Charles!! I've run out of adjectives to describe how great this rifle shoots and handles!!
The only break barrels I ever shot were Gamos so I was kinda turned off this type of system. I have been proven wrong!! An HW break barrel is just as accurate as my TX!! This gun is made so well you can almost smell it!! You won't be sorry with this one!!
Uh oh......am I becoming an enabler like Niko?????

Here's a second to that motion.

Absolutely terrible how some folks have exerted their subtle manipulation on me, resulting in an escalation of expenditures on gear.

I was perfectly happy head shooting pests, OH BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, you have to be able to shoot the eye out of a tick at 75 yards Chuck, the Super Cocker 2000 with an Unobtanium scope is the ticket for the backyard woodchuck shooter.

I want to pay with the cool kids too!!!!!!  :(

I'm going to go out and shoot my New Mod.54 and TX200 now, but this is the last time that I fall for your subterfuge you slippery eels !!  ;)

Same boat Charles!!! Used to think hitting cans at 20 yards with a plasticky Gamo was marksmanship!!! I have been schooled by some of the best......Niko, Scott, Dustin, Spencer....the list of no good GTA enablers go on and on!!!
Got the TX and thought I was done!!! O contraire!!!!! I "needed" more, according to these hooligans!! Around $5,000 later I am NOT done!! Darn these guys!!!
Chuck.......wanna touch the 98???????

Yaa Joe is as subtle as a 16lb sledge to the side of the head I buy the TX 200 and then he starts bragging on his new toy (HW98) and worse yet I still want a Diana 34 & 350 to round out my Diana collection ;D :o ::) :P :-\
Title: Re: Quick couple of 50 yard groups with new 98.

Man, the 34 is a must have in any collection.
I was actually pretty amazed at how accurate it is, assuming that I do my part. I was just about to go off of break barrels until I tried a 34. The German goodness brought me back to reality.

  Oh Noes......................... ???

I have been assimilated, and am now enabling others!!!  ;D

A 16 lb sledge????? I resemble that remark!!!
I felt the same way with break barrels after shooting 6 Gamo break barrels Charles. Got a pretty decent under lever and an ok side cocker......both of them blew me away! Really wanted an HW. Looked at the 97, but the only one that tickles me is the thumbhole with stainless look. $900??? Went with the 98. Absolutely unbelievable!! HW makes a wonderful rifle!!!
Steve.....I greatly appreciate the offer and I know it comes from the heart my friend!! Hopefully I'll find a pellet that this thing likes!!! PM me your address and I'll send this sweetie to you so you can tame her for me bro.........NOT!!!!!! Hopefully we'll get together again soon and I can let you look at her.....real quick look!!!!

my first break barrel is still going strong . it made me get rid of those spur of the minute purchases like crosman quest. benji titan, gamo big cat, daisy/hatsan 1100 sku . my first is a nice weihrauch 55 and I bought a second 1 to make sure the first 1 was a lucky porchase dad got me . but its just weihrauch quality .

Hopefully the Weihrauch quality stays true to form.

I knuckled under to peer pressure gentlemen, you who are so free with your advice and subtle cajoling.............. ;D

I bit on a HW97K with the black thumbhole stock.
My justification to self- I've got to get to the bottom of this HW97 VS TX200 mystery, and there's no substitute for first hand research right?

Right guys? Come on, don't bail out on me now....................... ???

I like the way you think Chuck!!!! I'm a couple of bucks short on the wood thumbhole 97 with SS look!! I am only allowed to buy air gun gear with my pool tourney winnings....as stated by the CEO.
My justification????? That thing is sexy beyond words!!!

I was leaning towards the stainless look after reading about the one that the FANG got recently, when lo and behold, a refurb blued/black thumbhole popped up for $530 bones.

  Sold says I.

I figured it was a safe gamble on a proven platform, and if push comes to shove, I either make a spring compressor, or send it off for some magical tuner pixie dust to get sprinkled on it.
