I just add a 392 to my collection. It's been on my list for some time. I love it but the stock sights not so good. I want to leave open sights on it does anyone have a suggestion on better sight?
-
I have the Williams aperture sight on my 397 and I love it!
-
What's wrong with the sights? They work fine for me, but I can't do much with open sights past 15 yards! :)

I'm with Toolmaker on this one. For the Benji 397/392 it's pretty darned hard to beat the Williams peep sight. I have one on my 392 and it works perfectly. LM

is the Williams peep sight just a screw on or will I need to drill and tap?
-
If your Benji has a flat on the right side of the receiver with two holes, that is where the sight goes. The Williams sight comes with the mounting screws.
-
Yes. RedFeather it does have the screw holds on the side. Thanks that answers my what was going to be my next question. What are the hole on the side for? Thanks

Here's a pic of my (custom) Williams Peep on my 397.

That just what I wanted to hear. Proof again that GTA members always have the right Info. Thanks guys.
I'll be ordering a Williams ASAP

Guys anyone purhasing a Williams sight be sure the center bolt is the right length. If it is too long it wiil strip your threads instantly. We just got a case of then in and had to modify all the screws. They are a great sight they just made a mistake on the center screw length.

The front screw I received with a Williams receiver sight for a Sheridan was too short.I had to find a longer 6-48 screw and shorten to the correct length.

I installed a Williams sight on my 392. Very satisfied with it. One of my most accurate airguns todate.

Just know there is a chance it may shoot high.

Yup, mine shoots high with Crow Mags, I think. Either that or with Eun Jins. It's adjusted all the way down. I'm kinda bummed.
Is there anything I can do to fix that? Aside from NOT shooting heavy pellets through it? I like launching EJs at 500 fps.

You can file off the underside of the Williams sight so it will adjust lower or you can glue something to the front sight to make it taller.
