Last weekend, I decided to experiment with the Ruger Airhawk that was on the shelf at the local Walmart. Brought it home and put roughly 750 rounds through it and it seemed promising. Had a good time shooting army men and sparrows at about 35 yards. I was wanting something a little more lightweight though. So I took advantage of Walmart's glorious return policy ;D and ordered a Ruger Black Hawk from P.A.
Hopefully the fedex man will drop her off tomorrow, as he is scheduled to.
I know that these Chinese guns can vary from gun to gun, but I'm wondering what pellets work best for you guys who own an Airhawk or Blackhawk.
I don't have funds to buy and try 20 tins of pellets... Obviously, I bought a Ruger instead of an RWS.
Thanks in Advance!

So you bought one from Wmart, shot the snot out of it, and then returned it?
The Blackhawk (8.3#)is actually HEAVIER than the Airhawk (7.9#)....

According to the specs P.A. The airhawk is 8.16 lbs and the Blackhawk is 6.95lbs...

The BH will be lighter.
I've had good results with JSB 8.4 grain and H/N FTT's in my Air Hawk.

Mine seems to like RWS Superdomes.

Check these specs out. It states the Airhawk 7.9lb // Blackhawk 8.3lb:

Bullit,
That's really odd... I got mine yesterday and it is definitely lighter than the air hawk.

The stats are commonly off the mark on a lot of guns. Note the cocking effort stats on many as well and you'll find they arent even close.

For my .177 Blackhawk, the "Beeman .177 Cal, 8.53 Grains, Pointed" is the very favorite. It is super accurate and seriously deadly on all kinds of varmints.

haha id like to see their scales they use for cocking force . I pick up 35 pounds and its not bad, I buy a gun showing 35 pounds cocking force and it seems like im picking up almost 100 pounds

Use your bathroom scale and check it.
