Title: Pulled the Trigger on XS-12
Post by: Flatcar1 on June 05, 2013, 01:14:47 PM
I just ordered my first Flying Dragon AG, the XS-12. I wanted something easy shooting for indoors practice and something that my grandkids can operate on their own. Everything else is to heavy or hard to cock for them and I dont want to run them away from shooting because it is physically challenging. Needless to say, I will enjoy plinking with a lightweight myself. I have heard nothing but good stuff about Mike and also the XS-12. I will be in the market for an XS-28 next month so this is a good way to get some experience with Mike and Xisco products. My shooting buddy just unwrapped his XS-28 last night from Mike and I was blown away by the smoothness and quietness. Being a .25 and a magnum strength AG, I was expecting much more noise and recoil. Right out of the box, no problem with 3/4" groups, which will only improve as it gets broken in and the right pellet is found. Stock and finish were both excellent. ;D

Congrats on your xs-12. I just recently got a xs-25 from Mike and am really impressed with everything about it.
A xs-12 might be in my future.

Flatcar1-
Have you got to shoot the XS-12 anymore? Be sure to keep us updated on how it's doing and how you like it.

Does the XS-12 have enough fpe to hunt squirrels and other small game?

I use one in .177 to take rabbits at close range (less than 20 yards), only use one for hunting if you are a really good stalker and can get up close and personal with the game....

Thanks Mike. I actually won't be stalking but keep it at work to take care of squirrels that have taken up residence in my warehouse. Max range is around 25 yards.

My XS25 stays at home by the back door to protect my apple tree.
