I picked up a second hand ruger air hawk .177 for a good deal, took it home and it shot like a dream, the only issue was loose linkage and the barrel felt very loose when cocking. i removed the action and found almost every bolt loose, I tightened them with reasonable tension, 99% of the problem was gone, now it creeks like an old rocking chair when being cocked, im fighting the urge to squirt some WD40 inside there to lube it up, a mechanic by nature it feels like that would solve the noise but im hesitant to treat this like an old Buick door hinge, other than this new noise that wasn't there before tightening it up, it shoots great, except for being a bit heavy it may be my new favorite toy,
any suggestions?
