I've got a Weihrauch HW97K coming and I will need a new scope. I am scope illiterate and am looking to target shoot from 10 to 50 yards, as well as eliminate daytime bird feeder raiders. I would like to spend less than $200. I look to experiences air gunners to guide me.

Hawke Panorama. The 3-9X40 I have will focus to 10yards. My 4-12X40 will go to 12-13 yards.

You have a fine gun buy a fine scope. Hawke or a used Leupold I've got a 2X7 Leupold that I picked up off ebay and sent it in to the custom shop for a parallax set at 35 yards. Works perfect at 2 power at 10m and super clear. It's on my R9 .20 Many to choose from buy a good one lot's of cheep scopes sitting on the shelf. I've got a Hawke Varmint 4X12-44SF sold the gun it was on going up for sale soon.

Any 3-9 power scope from Hawke, Leapers or Bushnell fit your budget. They all have very good factory warranties.

Thanks for the input guys. I went with the Hawke Panorama 3-9x40 AO, Mil Dot. Not too expensive at 35% of the cost of the gun;
hopefully it'll do the job.

You bought before I could chime in..................shame on you! Just kidding. I have two Hawke Panorama's but on PCP's. I would not hesitate to put one on my HW97K however. I have a UTG on the 97 and it works just great. I believe if I remember it is the 3-12x44 Accushot SWAT IE model# SCP3-U312AOIEW.
But that Hawke in my opinion is going to be better for you. Should because it in most circles is a $220 scope that is truly springer rated! Good luck.
