I'm in the market for a new air rifle (probably an RWS 34) and have read some of the reviews on line of different suppliers. The reviews range anywhere from (don't even think of dealing with these people) to (they could walk on water). I checked with Bass Pro to see if they would match any online prices and they quickly said "NO". At nearly $60 less I might be willing to take my chances with an online seller such as Midsouth. Midway or Pyramid Air. I just would like to get a consensus of opinions from those of you who have experience with these or other sellers.

For what it's worth, I have been buying powder burner stuff of all kinds from both Midsouth Shooter's Supply and Midway USA for literally years. Never as yet have had any problem with either one. My 34 came from Midsouth Shooter's Supply and arrived with the factory box carefully packed inside a brown shipping carton complete with lots of plastic padding. Was the best price I had found for an in-stock 34 Classic in .177. And Pyramyd Air was great when I ordered my scope and base from them. No complaints there either. Don

I've had good experiences with Pyramyd Air, Midway USA, and Midsouth (but it has been many years ago with them). Another great supplier is Mac1 Airguns. Though he is a little more specialized in what he offers, the service I got from Tim was outstanding.

I was lucky to start buying my air guns (pistols & rifles) from Pyramyd and I never had any reason to look for other places. They have a great selection, at least in the types of guns I'm invested in, and their prices are on par with other Internet outlets.
Their return policy is excellent. If you decide to return yourmerchandise within 30 days, there will be no questions asked. Once, I called them on day 30 to complain about the accuracy of the TX200 and 5 min later I had a prepaid shipping label to send it back to be fixed by their gunsmith.
Recently I had a tin of pellets on back order for a month and they actually called me to let me know that they are ready to ship it to me. Shipping takes 2 days.
I like Pyramyd Air, will do more business with them, and see no reason to look anywhere else.

If we're touting vendors, I would third or fourth Pyramid Air, Straight Shooters is also very good, but I would advise calling vs. emailing (just my experience but not so good at emails), Airguns of Arizona also has a great telephone presence, and from my experience less sophisticated when it comes to emails and ordering process.
There are many many more that are excellent. My big three though are stated.

Add another vote for Pyramyd Air and Midsouth....
On a recent Pellet order from Pyramyd, FedEx lost the shipment, Pyramyd was able to resend the shipment and get me my pellets before the fun shoot...

All these vendors are very reputable.

I guess the airgun vendors are all good options. I got into this from another direction. I bought a Crosman Nitro Venom from Amazon and didn't like the trigger. I learned online about charliedatuna and his magic trigger. It does work magic. He suggested GTA. Now I know other places to get airgun stuff. If you know specifically what you want, Amazon is still a good online vendor.

Certain things you order on amazon come through pyramid and some of the other vendors I've noticed. I actually ordered a pellet pack that shipped from PyramidAir.

Can't go wrong with PA. Customer service cannot be beat. Too many great experiences to list. I've made 17 orders since Nov and have been totally satisfied.

p.a. first for airguns , midsouth, midway usa . shooters supply . thats my order of best vendors . all have done well for me and they get my buisness only

I have received great service from Pyramid. My transaction with AOA also went well but I didn't have any problems with the gun. That was probably my good luck.

I will definitely let everyone know if AOA "Special Promotion" is legitimate. Pyramid Air sure wins the customer satisfaction survey. I placed the order with AOA by credit card over the weekend. I will call them on Monday to verify what they are advertising and if this is a demo gun, refurbished or truly a new gun in it's original box.
