Yes it's true, free shipping and 9 bucks for .177 JSB's. got one tin and a cheap tasco scope. Tasco scope I have come to love, but the JSB's were improperly packaged, left loose in the box and were damaged beyond use. Amazon is great about returns and sent me another tin. It was sent in an envelope and was also damaged, so I guess sorry pyramid air, AOA and airgundepot I should have known better :(
You've been warned
Oh and this is from my iPod if there are photos the few pellets on the left are usable and the pellets on the right are useless. I didn't continue sorting after I got this far.
-
Was the tin smashed up? I thought the tins had a layer of foam at the top and bottom of the tin to help protect the pellets. That must have been some rough handling of the parcel (not surprising I suppose).
-
Yeah I tried to upload a picture of both tins but they were too large of a file. They were both dented on the side and the shock was enough to transfer through nearly all of the pellets and damage them.
-
I unfortunately thought this was a great deal too since I have amazon prime, ordered 3 tins of .22 jumbo exact nearly 60 percent were crooked or bent beyond belief. Never going to order pellets from amazon again, Best way to go is with PA's buy 3 get 1 free with a 10 percent coupon off.
-
Wish I had seen this earlier. I too have a dented tin full of mashed pellets. I have a feeling I have some other's returns? LOL
Do I send them back?
How can they do business like that?

I just got some rws superdomes from amazon today. Was ordering something else and decided to try them. They were put loosely in the box with the other 20lb item. The tin was smashed and dented on the bottom. Looks like I was lucky and most the pellets seem to be ok. Another order I had was packed a li better. The gamo tin was dented a little, but didn't seem to have any pellet damage.

last i checked you can get superdomes with free in store pickup from walmart. I have a tin and they are just fine.

Unfortunately this kind of pellet shipment is not limited to Amazon, the other week I needed some more JSB's and other various accessories for my guns. The catch was: my last tin of JSB's were very low and I did not want to wait the week fedex takes to get to me from Pyramid. So I ordered 1000 JSB's (2 tins) and a Rifle case from another "major" AG retailer that is located a bit closer to me. I placed the order on a Saturday and was very pleased to see them ship out Monday with a delivery estimate of Tuesday....SWEET just two days of shipment. Well Tuesday rolls around and I cut open the box to see the folded up rifle case, no problem....take the case out and lo and behold there are my two tins of JSB's wide open. Needless to say its not very fun to see 1000 loose pellets that got tossed around the entire delivery :(. In the end about 1/3 of the pellets were dented beyond use :(. Guess I will only be ordering ammo from PA now :-\.

i too have learned to only buy pellets from PA :)
when pa was out of 18gn jsbs once i ordered from an ebay seller and got 2 tins of 250,they were terribly packaged and mostly damaged.
ill never order pellets from anyone but pa ever again!
plus when you order from pa your orders are saved,
and you can use it as a way to keep track of how many pellets you have put through your guns :)
-
PA has shipped me just as many damaged pellets as Amazon, the soft JSB and the hard H&N.
Make Amazon ship another replacement until they get it right. Shipping any tin in an envelope is just nuts! Leave them a neg feedback for that after contacting their chat service about it. Tell them you want a discount for all this ridiculous preventable hassle too. This mess should cost them not you.

Sadly not in S. California despite no restrictions whatsoever and Pellets and the occasional rim/centerfire/shotgun shipment on the shelf this was Walmarts response to an auto error that refused to let me process a shopping cart with RWS pellets
Hello Mark,
We are writing to let you know that we do not sell ammo online, we recommend you to purchase this items at your local Walmart store.
If you have additional questions, please reply to this email or call us at 1-800-966-6546.
Sincerely,
Walmart.com Customer Care
And yes this was ship to store, and I did try three local towns. Another friend tried to ship to store a Discovery (when it was in stock online) they killed that as well.

hulkbery,
Have you considered moving to another state? LOL
Maybe the pellet exchange is what you need.

I think many of us have considered it, the golden state has been heating the water for a long time but its the 10,000 little cuts we are being bled dry through.
There are a slew of bills being pushed in Sacramento at the moment to "Control" us. I'm only worried the usual poorly written law will have additional consequences on air gunning, just a Walmart is using Ammo to sweepingly cover pellets & firearms.
helLA County has bills that keep recurring attempting to make all "toy" guns (anything other than a firearm) look like a Hello Kitty or other brite neon requirement. Then it becomes an issue to weather its worth breaking down by jurisdiction to ship to and so on.

The last two times I've ordered pellets from Walmart online, I've gotten a "Sorry" message while checking out but the button to continue was still available so I placed my orders anyway and both times they went through without a hitch.
