I received my Hatsan 135 in .22 caliber this morning. The gun is in great shape cosmetically and only shows just a few places on the bluing. Kind of like box scuffs, nothing in the metal, just surface. So I finally received a springer that is in fantastic condition. The stock is nice as well.
For $200.00 you cannot go wrong with the 135, it seems to be a real quality piece and it hits like a truck! I shot a piece of 1.5 inch, salt treated, deck railing today with JSB 18.1 grain pellets and it passed all the way through and hit another piece of wood. It made about a 1/2 inch dent in that wood as well. So the gun is extremely powerful.
It does not kick all that hard, is not twangy so far, and is not nearly as hard to cock as my side lever RWS 54 was. The only hard part of cocking is the sight on the end of the barrel. It is a piece that is open on top and it is kind of rough on the palm. I can definitely cock it with one hand, no problem.
So after 10 initial shots, I ran 6 over the chrony and I am very pleased. With JSB 18.13 grain pellets it is putting out 30.5 ft. lbs. of energy in .22 caliber.

Very nice looking gun and those numbers look real good right out of the box. You may want to keep an eye on the forward stock bolt and the rear screw. The rear screw on mine would come loose, so I loctited both screws and they haven't moved since. I buffed up the metal with some flitz and the bluing is very nice. I just don't like the front sight, looks outta place.

Thanks Nathan. I need to post a pic of my front sight, very different. It is shaped like a V, open on the top with a fiber optic piece long ways.
What is the procedure for removing the stock scresws so I can clean under the stock? Which bolt turns counter clockwise?
Thanks
-
On yours it looks like the small lock screw is on the left hand side. You remove that small screw first, then turn the rifle over and loosen the bolt from the other side. Use a good philips in the lock screw and make sure it fits into the screw head well. Those buggers are easy to strip.

What a beast !!
30+ Ft Lb .22 cal springer is fantastic !!

Thanks Paul, I will be careful.
Motorhead, it is definitely a beast, I love it!

Please do post a pic of your front sight. It sounds different from mine? Anyway I love my H-135 too and it's still shooting a very consistant 940 fps+-with a 14.6 grain pellet after over 2000 shots. I've had no issues with pulling mine out of the stock for cleaning. It helps to have a really wide flat head screw driver. Mine did jar the main bolt screw loose but a little Loc Tite will fix that.

That front sight is different than mine. Mine looks like they stole it off a Crosman Quest. Mine is fiber optic, but I was hoping for a brake or larger cocking handle. I wonder if Hatsan changed the design of that front sight assembly recently.

They might have, but let me tell you, that sight is brutal on the hands to cock. My 125 Sniper had the large muzzle break and it was easy. This one is painful.
-
I could see how that "claw" shape to the sight would bite the hand. Maybe they should have made it a complete "hood". I purchased my 135 in Oct 2012. I may revisit trying to remove my front sight (I was unsuccessful the first time) and replacing it with something else.

I have put 178 shots through the 135 so far. I have tried the 15 grain JSB's, the 18 grain JSB's, and the 14.3 grain Crosman Premier Hollow Points.
I like the JSB's as they are much softer than the CPHP's and fit the bore really nicely. However, the Hatsan likes the CPHP's. The CPHP's are VERY hard and fit VERY tight in the bore.
After close to 200 shots, it is still chronying 30.5 ft. lbs. with the CPHP's at almost 1000 fps. Just a beast of a spring gun.
I have a 6x32 Leapers Bug Buster on the way. I had to send my 6x24-50mm back to Leapers as my RWS 54 ate it in about 20 shots. Instead of waiting 2 months for them to ship another one of those, I just had them send me the Bug Buster. It should be here Monday. I figure that you are not going to be shooting 200 yards with a springer, so the Bug Buster should be about perfect.
-
No doubt they have changed the front sight. I noticed that your trigger adjustment screws look like they have a head on them too. That's probably a good thing.

Interesting, I didn't pay attention to that. I can tell you that the build date seems to be Dec. 2012. Strange that I would get one that is 6 months old, but it is doing great and I am very happy with it.
What does your serial number start with?

Bad news.
I was shooting today and out of the blue it made a LOUD crack like a .22 rimfire. After that, it was hard to cock, so something isn't right. Never heard of one doing that after so many shots through it. I do love it though, I suppose I will just exchange it.

I shoot my 135 22 hatsan with Crosman hp premier..... .28 inch at 50ft dried hard Oak end grain.
it hits every hard at every range. I mean realy hard for a air gun brake barrel. tack driving groups are no problem adjust front and rear screws on the trigger and you got a sweet sweet trigger right out of the box. no more pulling shots from too hard of a trigger pull. Just hold it lightly on the front stock and drive them pellets home in tight groups even at 60 yards plus. good Idea is clean the rifling right out after a few shots. lube with somthing like Amsol 20-50 racing oil. lube the spring a drop in the chamber then keep them groups and speed constitainly the same. even drop on the trigger gizmo.... I would not use petro base oils. it will even fire up the syn oil once.
Love the smack sound on the hard woods and tree rats.

Any smoke? Sounds like a bad detonation and maybe it broke the spring. Seal might be dead as well.

Not much smoke just a big boom. Have an email into Pyramyd for an RMA. Will send it in for exchange.

Man sorry to hear that. last i read you said you were done with springers. Im gonna hold off till
QC gets better. That maybe never from Hatsan. Just got a scuba tank rated at 3500 last night. Now what
to connect to it. ;D

Evanix or Airforce have been my best so far. Evanix by a mile really.

The first H-135 I recieved did something like that and even stung my hand a little. The one I have now has been great and I've had no problems with it except for my own mistakes.
