Title: Webley Longbow SE; 0.22
Post by: harry palmer on April 15, 2013, 11:53:38 AM
Here`s my new (to me ;) )Turkish Longbow SE and a five shot group shot at 10yards; the bluing on the barrel (which is a Lothar Walther item) is really nice ;the cylinder buing isn`t so nicely done , (but is still a step up from what you used to get) it`s a 2009 built gun but is in pristine "as new" condition .It also has a nice trigger ,which lets go at just over 3 lbs and the walnut stock fits me like a glove!! ;D

I can`t wait to get to the range later this week with it!!

Got out and it`s dinging  a 3/4 inch kll zone at 27 yards, despite gusting 25-30 mph winds !

Thanks for the kind words, but the shooting results are 99% down to the rifle !!!

Take care

Kenny.

Looks great!

I also have a Longbow. Mine is not a SE. It's about 7-8 years old and .177. I bought it used from a friend who had it professionally tuned. It shoots good. Not quite as yours. But I also have only shot it at 50' and 25 yards. But easily under a inch. With Winchester Match pellets its almost 1/2" @ 50'.

I tried to post a pic... But photobucket on the iPhone dosent "update" like it should so I cannot access my folder with the Airgun photos... They are none too respective about the problem either. ::)

I'll try to post up a pic from the lap top later. Mine is hard wood but has nice grain and resembles walnut. The trigger is good but I want to adjust as it is a bit mushy to me.

I also have yet to chrono it but its supposed to be 835-850 with 7g pellets. I don't know. Seems a ough as fast as my 22 cal 34 and that's 740's fps with heavy Kodiaks.
