Title: HW30S - cocking lever issue, and other question

I just got my first airgun in years yesterday - an HW30S.  I put a dozen or so pellets thru it, and really like it so far.

My big question is I read about the cocking lever galling issue.  Is this something I should really add the insert to prevent scratching, or is it OK to just shoot as-is.

Also, is there anything else you would recomend to do to a new 30S?

There IS an insert that can/should be installed that prevents the galling. Several members have these guns and most have done the upgrade.Some are sure to join in with more information.

IMO it should be done before to much shooting is done, to keep form hurting your investment! JMO :P
