I will be picking up a set of of o-rings for the new air tube, just in case one is nicked or gets nicked in the process. Crosman specs 80 durameter. Is there any value in going to a 90 durameter? Will the additional harness cause sealing or installation issues? Thx.

the o-rings in a nominally stationary install( like the air resevoir and cap, or the valve body to air tube ) will seal best with the softest possible material that will NOT be squeezed out through the gap they're sealing. The gap is not very big, and the 80 duro rings are more than adequate. The breech seal where the bolt goes sliding back and forth should be both harder and tougher; it has to move after each shot...lube it properly. Matter of fact, lube all of them with grease suitable for high-pressure air.
they'll slide into sealing position more easily, and be more forgiving of joint imprefections.
cheers,
Douglas

I do lube the breech seal regularly. I do have have grease and plan to use. Probably too many choices, krytox 205, DOW 33, or Divers grease? ;)
I do have to review the marauder assembly video, to see what is best for the threaded parts. Tape or paste? I think there were two types of tape? The thicker (pink?) being preferred?
Also, is it recommended or a good idea to put a very light coat of silicone grease on all the internal surfaces, to help prevent oxidation? or help prevent damage from water vapor?
As you can tell, this is my 1st complete dis-assembly of a pcp. :)
