The Ranger is a great Rifle. Well made too, They pack a nice punch as well, I am sure you would be happy. I love my 25 cal ranger. and mY 22 cal Huntsman
-
Worth every penny of it.
-
Expensive yes; but worth every penny. You only live once. you deserve it! Go on, pull the trigger....................

I was looking at the Ranger XL. Very nice !! Have the money set aside. It is just the 250 bar fill I can't figure out. 4500 psi tank fill station is 7 hour round trip. Hoping paintball fill station spring up around here. Been also looking at shoebox.

The Ranger is a great gun. And you can't beat Daystates 3 year warranty either.

That's one reason I went with the Huntsman. My compressor only put s 3200 psi. I fill the gun to 2900 psi so it starts out in the sweet spot.

Are you looking at .25 cal? Only the XL. Also both are 230 bar fills. MIke

Each Huntsman is tuned at the factory. This means you could get a gun that runs anywhere from 180-220 bar. My .25 Huntsman is 220 and my other two .22's are 180 and 200 bar.

25 cal.. I am very confused. My Mrod was picked up today and off to PA for return they will call me when they get it. I have a little time time to make my decision. I Think the Daystate are really really nice but i don't think i want to drop that kind of dough.. I am also thinking of buying a tuned mrod from Talon Tunes or RL. Talon Tunes sells the Mrod For about 600 and change but its tuned to perfection new port polishing high performance o ring and each gun is bench tested, they give you a synthetic stock too. I also like the Hatsan BT65 great gun but hefty 11.5 pounds with a scope. The Rainstorm 2 sounds good too. I don't know what to do at this point.. :o

I personally like the Evanix Rainstorm or Air Arms s510, better than the Daystate Hunstman.
I do dig on the classic rifle looks though.
-
Rainstorm II is nice specs. It probably would be too loud for me.
Talon Tunes MROD has a stock painted black for $675. I did not see any syn stock options.

Your right mike it has some coating on the stock. Its a soft touch coating..I just called and left a message for Tony at Talon Tunes to talk to him.
-
You dont want a huntsman in .25 cal. Its shot count is worse then the mrod.
-
the Daystate air ranger or air wolf is my "Dream" PCP, too...
