Title: Best pellet
Post by: Scott biessenberger on March 17, 2013, 12:42:12 PM
I have a Beeman 1.77 R9. I am trying to get it to zero at 25 yards. What is the best pellet for this gun?
I use it mostly for shooting squirrels. I just bought some gamo TS-10s they weigh 10.49 gr.
They shoot well out of my RWS. By rational was deliver more ft/ lbs   I searched a little before posting, but did not find a clear answer. Thanks

I dont think anyone will have a correct answer for you because only you can find that out. I would try using a domed type pellet (Crosman Premier) and try to focus on accuracy more than energy.

Get a sampler pack, of pellets, each rifle is an individual.
Kind of hard to say, what it will like, when 2 of the same model, may very well like different pellets.

That said, H&N ftt, JSB and crosman premiers are some to try.

Trial and error. Head sizes and weights. Many different pellets. A good starting point is a sampler. Also CP's, H&N, JSB's and Superdomes are a place to start. PA's buy 3 get a 4th free is the best deal for pellets.

Beeman FTS are the most accurate in my R9  , getting one ragged hole at 25 yards. H&N FTT are supposedly the same pellet , H&N makes pellets for Beeman, but the FTS pellets are slightly more accurate. A lot of R9's will like one of the two. JSB's are another pellet you should try
