Hey Guys,
Most of you have seen me post here about how I used to LOVE my Daisy 880 as a teenager. I took countless squirrels, chipmunks, starlings, etc. with it. So I was on a gun auction site the other day and saw the following description.
This 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Power Line 880 air rifle was produced in 1992 to celebrate 20 years of production of this model by Daisy. Like the original, this BB repeater has a die-cast metal receiver, a rifled steel barrel, multi-pump power rated at 685fps and a 100-shot capacity BB magazine. It will also shoot .177 pellets loaded singly. This gun is unfired and absolutely mint in the box and was only opened to take photos. It comes with an operation manual and shooting safety guide. Please see photos
I couldn't resist because you rarely EVER see one in this shape and a bit older one like I used to have. Here are the pics. It should be here next week. It is brand new in the box, never fired.

;D Gongrats! ;D
I've ranged my type #1 smoothbore 880 that I recently acquired and rebuilt. I'm underwhelmed with the accuracy. My Plastic, current model 880 and my 922 are absolute tack drivers and a blast to shoot. I'm thinking of finding a rifled barrel and adding it to my type 1, 880 to bring out her full potential.
Compared to their Crosman counterparts, 2100 and 2200 the Daisy's aren't as powerful or have the mod potential but their ease and smoothness of pumping as well as their feel make them very high on my list.

I wish I remembered the exact year I had, but it was unreal accurate. If I wanted to put a pellet through a squirrel's ear at 40 yards, I could with 100% confidence. It was something else.

That was a great find ! I'm in the process of re-building my 880, just sent away for the kit (Only $16 incld. shipping). Mine has the rifled barrel but after cleaning it for the first time ever I noticed that you have to look really hard with a bright light to see any rifling at all. Practically a smooth bore. The seals in mine were shot but I was getting 530 fps with BB;s. I'm told it will be like new with the repair kit. We'll see. Enjoy your "New" rifle.

Where did you get your kit and which kit did you get? My oil wiper has degraded and I'd like to have a back up seal. Mine has the metal pump lever.

Here's the guy that has the parts for the 880. Just give him a call. He doesn't take credit cards so a check works. His wife said that it contains all of the parts necessary to re-build the air pressure to new, plus a drawing on how to install.
