Title: Did your NEW Discovery came pre-filled with some air???

I'm just curious... My new Discovery arrived from Crosman with about 1000psi in it. I'm assuming that is compressed air and not CO2. It didn't come with the tool to de-gas the air chamber. Before pumping air into it I was wondering if there's any way for me to know for sure what's in there.

I've also noticed that one of the screws came with signs of being worked by a screwdriver (please see photo). Is this normal or I got a returned/pre owned rifle from them??

Not easy for me to call them between business hours because of my work schedule so I figured someone here could help with some feedback on this... Thanks!!!

Mine came with that same amount, i think it's due it being best to always store w/ a charge on it.

Mine was empty when it was delivered but was not was not shipped from Crosman. They might test each one before shipping out for individual orders.

Mine from Pyramyd Air was completely empty.

 I recall mine had around a 1000 psi or so in it.  Can't remember where I bought it. :o

Mine had about 700psi in it when it arrived.  Came from PA.

Mine had less than 1000psi in it. Bought it from Amazon.

Bought 3 through Amazon, all had 800+psi.

Awesome! Thank you guys for the input. Glad to know is not that uncommon for the rifle to come with some air in it.

By the way... Got my TKO and also the scope this week. Wooo Hooooo!!!! Pretty cool! I'm going to "zero" it this weekend. Pretty exciting after all this wait!  ;D ;D ;D

Not a Disco but my AA S510 came fully charged. It preserves the valves/seals.

My guess is, the ones that did have pressure were probably used for inspection testing. Or the hillbillies at Walmart took them out for some weekend fun before selling them to you ;D
