Title: Shorten Spring on HW-95
Post by: CMBob on March 09, 2013, 11:53:02 AM
I removed one coil on OEM spring and it reduced the velocity approximately 25 foot/second.  It seemed to tighten groups.  It also made the POA more consistent.  I am a little puzzled how this would happen.  Any thoughts on this?

Perhaps the pellets you are shooting perform better at slightly slower velocities with your particular barrel.

anytime you reduce power you gain stability, also other factors could be at play such as the spring you cut off my not have been making full contact with the mated surface and now it is because have cut it off and made things flat, if spring ends arn't flat funny things can happen! :P
