I finally have personalized my .25 cal MROD. The entire gun balance seems significantly better. Much more natural feeling when held.
Anyway a picture is worth a 1000 words. here is 4000 words.

Looks sharp, and bet it handles better than org stock. Is that a Boyds Blaster? Did you do the inletting or purchase complete? I am very interested in what inletting work that would be required.
-
Sweet Rig Mike.
And yes give us the particulars, please
-
Very very very Nice,
Sure wish I had (a second) one ;) ;D 8)
-
Nicely done .... Indeed a better stock makes rifle so much more !!
-
I like it. I have been wanting to go that route. The only thing holding me back is money.
-
Thanks All !
I ordered from Norm, I do not have the tools to inlet myself. It is like a new AG. Lighter and much more natural to hold. Ordered a sun hood for the Hawke scope, so soon as it is tuned, on to the next AG maybe. Thinking Daystate or Evanix. I truly I'm astonished how much I like the MROD with her new cloths, so maybe I will just veg for a while. Got plenty of empty tins. love this PCP darkside.

Lighter ? REALLY ? ok now, no BS here, I seriously would be interested to know HOW much lighter, is your gun now? And please
try not to exaggerate here whatsoever !

Regardless of how lighter it is..............that is one great looking stock! Congrats!
-
Nice almost enough to get me to buy an m rod
-
Beautiful! Now I know exactly why you love the MROD.

The MROD stock was somewhat butt heavy. ;D New stock is more balanced and has a lighter butt. 8) New stock is 198,446.66 mg lighter, no bs. :o
Mike
ps - 7 oz lighter

Yea I am glad I started the PCP darkside with a MROD. Helped me understand the whole PCP hype. The thing is wickedly accurate, easy on the pocket book, easy to work on, etc...

Mike is that your only PCP?
Is it tuned?
Oaks

Good job. Kill em with facts ;)

Yep the only one so far. Looking at the Evanix, FX and Daystate. Looking for a powerful .22 or .25 which is very quiet. Problem is those guns are expensive and without shooting one first, not sure what to buy. Going to take a road trip to a big event to get a better idea.
Mike
PS - self tuning her as we speak !!
-
Nice Nice Nice Me wantee one.
-
Mike I like Evanix and FX let me know your thoughts when you go and please post what you shoot.
Thanks

Man those pics have me just about ready to pull the trigger on a blaster stock just like yours. I now have to two MRODS a .22 and a .25. All the more reason to get me one of them stocks on one of them.
-
All I can say is I did not like the butt heavy MROD stock at all. Learned to love it because it was so easy to shoot, easy to work on and wickedly accurate. After putting the new stock on it was SSSooo much nicer. Much more balanced and I love the thumbhole stock feel. I ordered a hawke sunshield a while back when I ordered the stock. It is do in today, that will complete the look I wanted for the AG. I will post a photo.
I talked to Crosman yesterday and was informed that the new syn MROD definitely had changed trigger and gauge locations. I asked about performance and they said they could not say any more. Probably going for one, the bad news is I don't know how long I will have to wait for someone to inlet a thumbhole syn stock for it.

That is a beautiful stock and gun. Thank you for sharing.

looks nice.....! Very Nice where did you get that stock??
-
awsome I really like the color !
-
The Stock is from Norm at Disco-R-us.

I have the same stock and did not notice the difference in weight but the thumbhole makes it feel like a different rifle. It feels like you have more control.

Thats what I had figured, as far as the weight goes.

I like the way you show both stocks on picture 2619. You can really see the difference in the two stocks. The check piece on the blaster is a lot lower on the blaster than the original stock. Do you miss the higher check piece on the blaster ?
-
Beautiful setup.
-
No I do not miss the original at all. The cheek rise did not work well with my scope anyway.

That's great, one more plus for getting me one.

Good observation! I missed that. I was considering this stock or getting the blank and trying to do the cut-out work. I liked the look of the foregrip and thumbhole. A good cheek weld is important to me when not bench rest shooting. The oe stock is not high enough for my scope and medium rings. Around a 1/4" too low. The blaster looks to be considerbly lower. Hmm, I will have to take that into consideration for any final decission. Thx for pointing that out.
