so my xs-25 with a trigger job arrived from mike over at flying dragon, and holy sweetness does this gun rock! it's my first air rifle and i am so happy. i took it out into my backyard and shot about ten shots. i had a dime sized group at ten yards which i was thoroughly pleased with. my group was high though which leads me to my question:
i adjusted the sights clockwise per my instruction manual, i think it came on setting '1' and i went two clicks which put me on '9' on the dial. i should have started with one so i tried to turn it back to '0' and now it won't budge. the amount of force i'm applying seems way to excessive to get it to move, and still it won't.
did i adjust it too low and now it's locked? the only other adjustable sights i have are my MBUIS on my AR and i've never experienced this.

Try pushing down on the rear of the sight and then backing the adjustment off.

thanks, i tried that, but gently, and didn't get results. when i get home this afternoon i'll give it a little more oomph.

see if there's a way to peek under the little wheel that you turn; there might be a bit of something that's popped up underneath it, and it simply won't let the wheel turn in the opposite direction. I pulled my factory sights on and off a few times while I was looking for scope mounts, and I seem to remember that the underside of the while was ribbed/spoked.

yes, i believe you are correct that it is ribbed, that is what if felt and looked like when i clicked it down.

push down on the sight, if it moves then it's got something jamming it, if it doesn't move then it is bottomed out, just turn the screw counterclockwise. Aslo check that the sight is in the hole in the breech at the rear, if not loosen and get it down into the hole...

thanks mike, i'm loving the rifle, BTW, the trigger is SWEET! i seem to be grouping high and right. i made a thread about it here" http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=43874.new#new (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=43874.new#new)
not sure what to do about it. i'll keep practicing but i'm sure i'm doing something wrong.
