Title: Did I receive the wrong TKO?
Post by: PackingHeat on March 04, 2013, 04:55:32 PM
I just got a new TKO for my .177 cal. QB79. The bore of the TKO is .280 which is the same as my TKO for my .22 Disco. Shouldn't the diameter be smaller on the .177 TKO? It seems to me it is or there would be no need to state the caliber when ordering. What is the bore diameter on your .177 TKO?

X2---I got one for my .177 Disco.  Converted to .22, and used the same TKO...e-z p-z.

Never measured the internal baffles size, the the outer end cap does run about .280"on the two .177 versions at hand.  One is used on a 5mm with no problems, so they could probably be a bit tighter (then again, the tighter the fit, the more alignment problems you will have with off-center bores or mountings).

Could be that the internal ones (closer to the muzle) are smaller...would make sense to have the larger size farther away for alignment issues.

Good to hear I got the right one. I tried it out and my HPA QB79 just makes a dull plunk now. I'm sure that on the other end it sounds like that mouse fart I keep hearing about.

Willing to bet mike uses the same end cap for the 2 calipers to save cost and time.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. That is what he told me in his reply to the email I sent him.
