I've bought my Marauder from Pyramid Air 2 1/2 months ago, and I was going over it in detail today. I noticed a stamp on the bottom of the forearm that I had overlooked before. Its located just forward of the Benjamin logo, and is an "R" in a circle. Any significance? Does it indicate that Benjamin is a registered trademark?
Any information that anyone has will be appreciated. Thanks.
Joe

Might just be the mark of the QA inspector.

According to a guy selling them on the yellow forum for $330.00 per gun, they are remans from the factory with full warrenty. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Jeff

hi..
I bought 2 referbed crosman Quests...
both had the R stamp on them...
I would say it a returned reject that has
been checked out....In fact its prob better
as its been inspected & repaired...
not just put togeather like the assembley line ones...
Basicly yer get a hand assembled/inspected gun
for less coin...has to be a deal...

OK folks, I appreciate your opinions and humor. So .... I called Crosman and talked to the lady in customer service with the delightful upstate NY accent. She told me that the "R" in a circle is a symbol the indicates that "Benjamin" is a registered trademark. It does NOT mean repaired, refurbished, renovated, rejected, etc, etc!
She she went on to tell me that the serial number includes the manufacturing date code. The SN on my Marauder starts with 710xxx.... This indiactes that the gun was manufactured in July of 2010. I bought it a month later, in August. Its fresh out of the oven and shoots like a happy dream! ;)

Alrighty, then! You must be feeling LOADS better about the purchase, no? ;-]
I have to get one of 'dem in the gun case soon, too.
Gonna take some doin', being the holiday season, and such.
Maybe if someone came-out with an auto-indexing receiver/breech/magazine for the Discovery, cheap...hmmm.

JohnnyReb, that post on the Yellow is what got me looking at my Mrod. Dont know where he got them from, what they are, or why he sells them at that price. I'm glad that he's doing what he's doing, it gives people a chance to get a great rifle at a decent savings! However, according to Crosman customer service, the little "R" that appears after the "Benjamin" logo is there to indicate that Benjamin is a registered trademark.

Here ya go Riderbike! Not cheap, but cheaper than a new Mrod if you already have a Disco.
