I found a Gamo Whisper Royal for around $250.00. I am just wondering if this gun is worth the money as I have never shot a Whisper and dont like the bulky shroud type object on the end. If you have one, or a plain old Whisper write a little review for me please.
Thanks,
Jman
P.S. What is the difference in the Royal models if any besides the wood stock

Every time I look your debating on a different gun... All the Gamo's have the same power plant just different stocks.
What guns do you currently own? Are you going to be target shooting or hunting w/ your next purchase?

haha I know I keep debating on different guns ahhhh. Hopefully my posts arent just helping me. I target shoot and hunt whith both being about evenly distributed. Now Im looking at a B28 because Ive wanted a RWS 350 for a long while. Im a teen, and there is so many guns to choose from and I want to pick a nice one because $250 is a ton of money when you dont have a job. Decisions Decisions...

^haha uncle paulie youve got that right

It's better to ask a million questions and make 1 good decision than not ask and make a bunch of bad ones.
1st thing i'd do is find a job. There's a ton of them out there. Then I would save up the pennies for the 350. I target shoot and hunt with mine and it's a very good gun. If 250 is all you have and you don't want to wait I'd go with a rws 34.

I'd say No to your poll, J. You'd be better off getting your Big Cat fixed and looking at another brand. I have been looking at RWS for a bit. You should see my Wish List over at PA!!

I own a regular whisper tuned by Shadow. It was terrible before the tune, it is better now but still hard to be consistant with. In my opinion there are much better shooters out there.

yes, a RWS is a better gun alltogether. But the whisper has its merits. I had a tuned .22 CSI witha venturi gasram. i should have never sold it! it shot gamo match pellets into a 3/4 inch hole at 35 yards at 740 fps. very consistent and most of all, really quiet. the action made no noise with the ram. the pellet impact was louder than the firing cycle. I am actually looking for another one but i'll go for the .177... and i think i'll use a maccari spring this time. I do not trust the rams available now... they are not the venturi ones.
