Title: CASA Silhouette Sign Language
Post by: TimmyMac1 on April 09, 2013, 03:52:02 PM
One of our rangemasters recently went deaf and he still wants to shoot with us.

WE shot Silhouette Sunday @ LASC and Jose worked out a Plan so as rangemaster I could sign to him the range commands.

Bring your equipment to the line "point at the counter in front of you"

Do you have 5 to shoot at is "single open hand held up"

Load or Ready is "Thumbs UP"

Fire is "Point at the Targets downrange"

It worked out great.

Title: CASA/LASC Silhouette & NewB THIS SUNDAY!
Post by: TimmyMac1 on May 03, 2013, 10:38:13 AM

LEARN SAFE GUN HANDLING! PLEASE! As a Long term rangemaster I agonize over the lever of ignorance displayed by the average shooter. I'm a shareholder @ ASR and we have to remain vigilante always. We take Pride in showing people how to be safe with guns. The rules are the same for Airgun, Small Bore or Centerfire. Safe gun handling is something EVERYONE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND but only a small fraction of gun owners bother. That makes our challenge greater when they do show up. I teach safe gun handling at the LASC Venue in the ASR Complex of Ranges EVERY first Sunday of the month @ 9AM. We use airguns and give KIDS of all ages a lesson they will never forget. WHY NOT KNOW SAFE? I gaurantee a fun time for $5. 1/2 day investment in Human Capital so you will be GUN SMART FOR LIFE! This enables you to recognize an unsafe situation from a distance so you can keep your distance and know what to look for. If you NEVER pull a trigger my Lecture alone will make you understand the fundamentals of what is OK and what is Ignorance. I promise you will have a good time or I will pay your range fees personally. I want to invite my cousin Susan and her daughter Sarah. I need to show you what it is all about. Education is the key. We cannot teach the gun anything. Stupid is reserved for animals (that can think & learn). Education is the only solution to any activity that CAN be dangerous. Safe Practice and gear is the key. A smart rider doesn't need to be told he has to wear a helmut.

PLEASE LEARN SAFE GUN HANDLING IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW IT! Rangemasters and skilled individuals are ready to teach you what is Safe so you can know what is NOT. Cinco de Mayo. May 5th is our next Silhouette match and Newbie program@ LASC this Sunday and every first Sunday except July and September. Brought to you by CASA.

We had one youth and 7 Adults at the CASA 5-5-13 Silhouette/Newbie Program.

Aiden Farina shot the Jr. Shorty Biathalon Trainer at 5 yards rested. By the end of the session she had the FT Squrriels zip code down. She had a real good time. You could tell be all the giggling after each shot. She is 6.

Kids shoot for free the first time out. Learning safe gun handling is fun @ CASA.

Yesterday and all first Saturdays is the LASC work Party. CASA was represented by Jim Zeigler who was the only one from CASA. Thank you JZ.
