Title: Rws 92/cometa 200-220 parts help?
Post by: 1shotwade on March 01, 2013, 09:47:51 AM
Hi all! I'm pretty new here so can't post a wanted in the classified. I'm in the middle of a rebuild on an rws92/cometa 220.I have rebuilt a lot of guns but this is my first airgun project.parts are no longer available in the u.s. so I have been communicating with cometa in spain. Now they seem to have lost interest. I have been able to locate everything I'll need through other sources except one part and I'm hoping someone out there can help me.I MUST replace the "main spring support screw. It is totally stripped out. This is the part that threads into the trigger assy. and receives the "stock bolt" that is also the hold down for the front of the trigger guard.Any help would be great. I'm trying to rebuilt this gun for my grandson to teach him the hunting skills. Thanks in advance.Wade

Bolts should be available at hardware stores, just a matter of measuring (or finding specs) for diameter, length, and thread pitch. If you can't measure yourself, take the old bolt with you and have the clerk measure for you. If you don't have the bolt, you'll have to find the specs...

it's more complicated than that. I'll try an attachment if I can make it work. It is item #100534.
This has a male thread that screws into the female thread on the trigger assy. The other end of the bolt is a female thread that excepts the male stock bolt. The male stock bolt is also used to secure the front of the trigger guard. The thread that's trashed is the male thread that screws into the trigger assy. The only way this could be re used would be to turn it down on a lathe, sleeve it oversize, then thread it to the original thread.

I will take a look at the bolt on my RWS92 tomorrow. I might be able to make you one on my lathe. Will email you about this.
