So i have had this Crosman 2100 since 1998 i believe. It's been cleaned up and slightly modded, crowned and i finally feel like a decent shot with this so i decided to test my pellets and see which shot the best. I'm sure most of you can shoot better groups. all at 15 yards(45 feet) OPEN SIGHTS/IRON SIGHTS off some phonebooks and towel.

I think these shoot the nicest out of my rifle. GAMO MATCH DIABOLO PELLETS

These shoot nice and consistent but i couldnt seem to shoot a nice group. I'm sure the off target shots were shooter error. CROSMAN PREMIERE HOLLOWPOINT

these seem to fly more than the others in my rifle but i still like to shoot these. CROSMAN DESTROYER
This gun is still awesome being so old. Nothing has been changed out, all original. I am sure if i had a scope i could shoot smaller groups but i prefer this rifle without a scope.

Sweet, glad it still works well after all this time.

The gamo match do look good.
Might have to try them out myself.

If you get a chance, try some H&N Field Target Trophy. My 2100 really likes them.

Is the 2100 made here, or is it Chinese?
Everyone seems to love their 2100's. I may have to get one. ;)

From what people say, it is made in china, but they made a really good super cheap(cost wise) gun. I really haven't read anyone say they wasted 50-60 bucks yet. mine is from the 90s and still works great (all original parts pushing 20 years with thousands of pellets shot) and i like shooting it more than my break barrel especially because you can control the velocity with pumps. I also threw a break on and i could probably shoot it in the middle of the night and not wake anyone up. not that i would need to, just an example it is ridiculously quiet now. Also, I have seen some pretty bad @@@ looking modded 2100s. Cheap and cheap to mod.

I'll have to look at mine. I'm sure they get most of the parts manufactured overseas, but they assemble most of their bread and butter guns in the USA. I think most of their springers, nitro guns are from China.

Here's what mine says. It could just be their U.S. OFFICE. who knows. Still love it either way.

Does your 2100 have a smooth bore barrel? I got to looking at my brother's a while back and it is not rifled. Are any of them rifled?

I had to do a lot of mods to mine to get her up to her advertised velocity. I also had to shave the front sight post so it will fit in the rear sight while lining it up. I did a few other things including supporting the straw barrel in the shroud and touching up the crown with the brass-screw-method. She is an absolute rock star now! I had similar groups with CPHP's. She really seems to prefer the Crosman wadcutters.

I have the Remington Airmaster 77, but it is the Crosman 2100 with a few cosmetic changes. It is a very reliable air rifle and not too picky about pellets. Mine does well with the Gamo Match, RWS Hobbys, and Crosman Premier hollow points. I shoot mostly at 10 yards off a rest and use a scope with an adjustable objective and it's a 4 power with 32mm front lens. On a good day the gun will put the pellets into one tiny hole. I just use 3 pumps, as it shoots very well there and I don't care about maximum power for bullseye shooting. These are fine shooters. Anyone that is skeptical, see Tom Gaylord's recent test of the Crosman 2100. Go to

This is the accuracy tests part of his 3 part review. Anyone thinking these air guns can't shoot should read this.
