Hey guys,
So I just ordered the following from PA. I am pretty sure that the hand pump I ordered will have the correct fitting for the Marauder right? Anything else missing, please feel free to chime in. I already ordered my scope and stuff a while back.
Benjamin Marauder Rifle Mag, .25 Cal, 8rds Quantity (2)
UTG Universal Bipod, Telescoping Legs, Picatinny & Sling Swivel Mount
Crosman Silicone Chamber Oil Quantity (2)
Shooting Chrony Beta Chronograph, Blue
Benjamin Marauder Air Rifle .25 Caliber
Benjamin Hand Pump, Fits Crosman & Benjamin PCP Guns
Benjamin Destroyer .25 Cal, 27.8 Grains, Pointed, 200ct

Guaranteed fun !!
I would consider trying a tin of JSB Exacts. I have tried 5-6 different kinds of pellets. Always go back to the JSB Exacts (25.4 gr). They seem to shoot better and group much better. Make sure to clean barrel before you shoot. Goo Gone > nylon brush and patches until clean. Not sure about scope, 50mm required tall rings. You will need much more pellets also.
Be safe !!

Loose the Crosman chamber lube (petroleum derivatives i've been told) and the destroyers (they destroy accuracy)
Other than that the hand pump comes with a 1/8 male that fits you marauder 1/8 female.

Be prepared to shoot a lot of pellets! Consider ordering a few different kinds of pellets though, so you can see what your rifle likes
-
I would definatly change the choice of pellets, the Benjamin Domes are much better, my Maurader .25 was shooting the 31gr Baracuda real, real well
-
Great to know, thanks everyone!
In a previous order I bought a Leapers UTG 6-24x50 AO, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle.
I hope the Marauder likes the Benjamin Domes, because in the same order as the scope, I purchased 20 tins of them in .25 cal. 4000 pellets :)
So we will see how it does, if it doesn't like those, I will order some JSB's. You guys are fantastic and were a big part of my decision.
I was going to get an Airforce Condor, and still might in the future, but the Mrod seems very nice. Looking real forward to getting it!
I bought the crony as I have read that you can't really adjust the output to 3000 psi reliably without one. Any truth to that?
-
Nomad,
As I was typing my reply you posted that, I have the domes covered! Glad to hear they are a great choice, I read that they were.
The only reason those pellets are listed is because it was their package deal, gun - hand pump - pellets. I will zero it with domes and just sit these to the side.
-
I would Seriously consider selling the Benjamin pump brand new without using it even once and buy a HILL
-
Hmmm, are they that bad or is it just where people abuse them?
-
You should be OK with the Benji Domes. They were my MROD .25 second favorite.
I am probably going to sale my brand new (2 week old) Hill pump. I found a 4000 PSI tank for buck & a quarter, so I won't need a top off. Going for a SB pump in the near future.

So what about this pump thing? Is the Benji no good? If there is an issue, let me know and I can call early and have that switched out before they ship.
If it is ok, then no worries.
-
i would switch pumps also if you still can.
-
I will just stick with the Benji pump since it was part of the package deal. I will also be buying a shoebox, so no big deal on the pump.
I really appreciate all of your input though, thanks.

Counting to 100..........
Ordered Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. from PA. Just called and was told "it probably won't ship today" as well.
Jessica went to check with the shipping manager, he had left before 4:30 p.m. today, super.........
800 dollar order, have to wait 3 days to ship, unreal. Just called back and asked to cancel so I can order elsewhere, was told "it is on the pallet already packed, we can't cancel it". Can't cancel it, can't ship it. What a place.
-
Congrats on the Mrod purchase. I'm sure you're gonna love it. Now since the shipping date is a little longer than you expected you might use this time to strengthen those muscels for all the pump action you're going to get. ;)
-
When I was in Newport TN it only took FedEx 2 days to deliver orders from PA. You will be having fun with your new rifle befor you know it.
-
Normally does only take 2 days, that is why I ordered it Monday morning early.
I have no idea what they are doing at PA. That place needs someone to take it over and straighten it up. Could be world class with a little leadership.
-
I talked to PA today. Had a back order for a few weeks now. Four items that came in at different times but always one Back Ordered. I canx and the lady said she did not blame me, that their system needed fixed.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I hope that changes in the future. Time will tell.

The newer ones are fitted with a better formulation for the seals. I take care while pumping not to let it get hot by giving myself a rest every thirty pumps or so. Even the Hill will need the seals to be replaced eventually which is no big deal. Mine is used to fill an MRod and a Disco. Has been in use for better than a year now with no problems.

Thanks for the feedback Ahab.
My order shipped today finally......Really excited to receive it! I like PA and they have been great to deal with, but man, they have to do something on this shipping of your items.
