I bought the Beeman RS2 used in a pawn shop and it is like new. Case, both barrels, etc. I shot the 177 as I had the pellets on had to shoot it. Well, today I bought some 22 pellets and let me tell you, you guys were right about the 22 out shooting the 177! I have put the 177 barrel in the case where it will be staying! I keep getting one shot that just wants to leave the group and spoil the 5 shot group! The 4 are either one hole or covered by a dime. The shooting was at 10 meters as it is in my back yard and that is all the space I have back there. No houses to my back but woods, but houses on both sides of me. Overall I am a happy camper!

Congratulations on your Beeman RS2 rifle, I really love mine, I've had it just over a month now and couldn't be happier. The .22 rocks however I'm gonna roll with the .177 since I have a plentiful amount of .177 ammo right now. Even in the .177 I'm getting great accuracy at about at about 10-13 yards (limited backyard space also).

I got mine in 2007 from pyramid air and had to get it replaced with a new one when It lost power spitting lead. Got the replacement home tuned and got it butter smooth. 22 barrel never got replaced since comparing the shot cycle of the 2. I don't know how many tins of pellets went through it and still a pleasure to shoot and hits where I aim it. I think it shoots now in the high 600 and it's wayyyyy better than when she was shooting mid 700 fps with 14.3 grains CPHP. Mods for the trigger will make it a lot better than stock then deburr and lube tune makes it day and night from stock.

I just bought the .22 cal only model a few weeks ago, and would like to know which pellets you are having good accuracy with? I will mainly be plinking and trying to pop a few squirrels about 25-30 yards out. I'm still breaking it in, I'm using some Gammo Match wadcutters. It was all they had at the store the day I bought the rifle.
Thanks

The pellets I'm getting good results from so far (and I haven't tried a lot yet) are the Crosman Premier Hollow Point and the RWS Superdomes in .177.
In the .22 caliber, I'm getting good results with the RWS Super H-point, and the RWS Hobbies (wadcutters).
I purchased the Gamo .177 variety pack and I feel like I wasted my money, I'm not getting good results with particularly the wadcutters you speak of. I haven't tried the other 3 extensively yet. My rifle is just beginning to settle down and I'm getting really good performance with it. So I will be trying the other Gamo pellets in that pack and see how that goes.
I've had a hard time finding reasonably priced pellets and availability which has been frustrating here in SoCal (Southern California) an incredibly unfriendly gun state. I've found both Crosman Premier pellets and now RWS pellets on Walmarts website so you can order quality pellets at reasonable prices and use their "Site to Store" feature to have them shipped to your local Walmart and pick them up without paying shipping. My experience with Walmarts "Site to Store" has been really good, products generally arrive in anywhere from 2-4 days, not nearly what they say it will take. I would recommend this to any airgunner out their. I'm embarrassed to say I order the RWS superdomes from an online site and the 8.99 tin of pellets with shipping ended up being like 18 bucks, I felt like such a dumb arse, man. :-[
I stay away from the generic Crosmans and haven't even considered Daisy's because of the many poor reviews of that pellet.
You're going to have to try many different pellets before you figure out which pellet your gun prefers, its different from gun to gun.
Look for the "Pellet Exchange" program on this site, their is probably someone that can help you try a few pellets before committing to an entire tin that turns out to be useless to your gun.
Good luck, let us know how it turns out for you.

Yes, I went to Walmart also and bought the Crosman Premier Hollow Point Hunting Pellets also, 500 to the tin. I really bought 2 tins. :D
Big weight difference...from 177 to 22 in the same tin. Now I can realize the enegry transfered!

I only shoot the CPHP's in my .22's because they're readily available but also have some of the discovery sampler packs to have somewhat of a variety...
I have 2 RS2's, both bought for $90 each, put the first one together as a .177 and it's such a tack driver I didn't want to switch barrels so I just bought another :). It was my first .22 pellet gun, now I have 5 (one B3 then Crosman 2240, 1322 and 2289 are the others). My .177 is about perfect as is, the .22 needs a tune to smooth out...

I bought some Crosman pointed pellets and Benjamin Discovery HP's. I think they both weigh 14.3. Going to try it out this weekend at my daughters house, and see what they group like. I've read that the Benjamins are hte same as the Crosman Premier HP?

The reviews I've read on the Crosman pointed and Destroyer pellets, are by in large poor reviews. People generally don't like that pellet just a FYI if you're not getting the desired results you're looking for.
Wish you luck though, perhaps your rifle with like them, you just don't know what your gun is going to like unless you try them.

2 RS2's - cool - I like your thinking! ;)

I bought them a year apart, was walking through wally world and saw one on clearance for $90 and snagged it :)
I was really surprised how accurately my .22 was shooting at 75 yards, there was a thermos cup that washed up on the creek in the yard and was shooting at it and was very close for just propping against a deck post (hit 1 in 5 shots I think), walked it off later and it was 75 yards...
