The fun shoot will be held a my house and Bob and me will host the event as usual..:) Two old farts..:) Last weekend of August. Two days of air gun mayham. We will supply the location, targets and you supply your own drinks and food. Will have BBQ on hand for cooking up them dogs, burgers, steaks, or what ever you bring.
Bob and I wish everyone could come but we know it is to far for many.
We will be having a raffle. I have two springer air guns to raffle off. A new Daisy Powerline 1000 ws. Has been turbo tuned and trigger tune as well. I made a custom trigger block and guide for this gun. Also a Stoeger 20. and has been turbo tuned with GRT-III trigger installed. These guns are very nice shooters. Both have wood stocks and both are .177 cal. These guns are brand new and have had only 20 or 30 shots through them.
Rules for raffle: You must bring an air gun and shoot it..:) Only one raffle ticket per family or group.
If any members that come want to make any other contributions for raffle feel free to let me know or make a post in relation to the raffle item you want to give away.

Yep...and we are looking forward to it. We always have a good time at Gene's and share a lot of stories, experiences, knowledge and friendship. Even wind up with a few gun fixs as a rule... just little things.
I'll supply the soft drinks... a mix of different things as well as the ice. Just need to get a few ice chests. And if we run short of food...lol... I've got it covered also. If you want beer, bring your own but be warned, there will be no heavy drinking.
For those that are coming, please let us know who you are so that we know how many to prepare for. You might, if you have room, bring a folding chair or two.
The last one that we had was also a kind of a surprise retirement party for me that the gang put together and it was great to have some of our old timers as well as a couple of newbies. It was quite a surprise and everybody including my wife knew about it but me. A great day for me and a time that I will never forget.

Michael, every fun shoot that Bob and I have attended have always been fun. We went to the Fort Worth Texas Fun shoot last year and it was a blast. Great hosts and we had a chance to meet many of the GTA family. DanNtx was the host along with his crew. One of the best fun shoots I have been to yet.
That is not to say that our past SC fun shoots have been any different. Made lots of good friends, met many GTA members and we just had a blast at every one of them..:)

Oh... and I forgot. If worse comes to worst, we do have a Mexican restaurant that Gene and I frequent...... ;D :D ;)

i have some "over-stock" items i'm bringing to the funshoot to clear out my inventory. i have 2-piece scope rings=$5.,
shooting rest=$45., 1-gallon of Ballistol=$Negot., Hawke scope rings and 1-piece mounts,......universal scope shades, and of course anything else i can put in the truck.....i'll sell the truck also but i have to keep the tires since gene paid for them last year at the last fun shoot...ha!!!

Well I'm going to make the trip this year(Lord willing). I plan to start scooting next fri am. Should be in Belton late pm. Since the wife can't join me due to a schedule conflict, I'll have room in the truck for a member who needs a ride. Meet me in Nashville or along the eastern route and I'll get us to Gene's. PM me if you want to go. Dave, Randy or any of you other Tennessee shooters want to go? Here's your chance.

Remember to bring your chairs everyone. If you have a portable shooting bench, shooting stick you may want to bring those also. I like shooting from a rest...:) I will have a few to offer and a couple of tables but first come first serve..:)
Will be lots of bread and water to drink as well...:) Remember to bring any artillery that you want to sell or trade. Allot of that goes on at the fun shoots. Roger has informed me he is selling accushot 1"medium two piece mounts for $5.00 a set. First come first serve on those I am sure..:)
Also remember the raffle for two air rifles. You will need a few buck for that. The money we collect for the guns which will not be much will help pay for the bread and water..:)
The closest hotels are in Anderson which is 16 miles from my house if you plan on staying the night. There is some room for tents but will have to keep the shooting area clear.
Think safety and keep your guns safety on at all times. If you see all the cars and no place to park you may park in the emty lot accross the street from my house.

As of this minute all systems are go. I'll hit the road friday am. and will find a room (I hope) in Anderson. My route will take me from Nashville to Chattanooga to Atlanta to Belton. My offer stands for any members who would like to go but need a ride. I have room for one plus your gear. PM me if you need a ride. Very much looking forward to this trip. Gonna be fun! I will be there with cash and guns. My wife hopes I don't leave with more guns that I arrive with, but we sometimes have different ideas on how to count.

It's official !! I'm coming Saturday. Set up the paintballs , hang up the bells !! LOL After some hard decision making I have decided to make the trip . I'll be bringing a couple of NICE springers for sale a HW97K with a completely refinished stock with custom brass inlays and stippled grip and forearm . Also I'll have a tuned Ruger Blackhawk with a carbine cut barrel. It's been a while since I've been to one of the get-togethers , I look forward to seeing some old faces and some new ones . kriby ;D 8)

Awesome time , What a beautiful day to spend with friends . Saw some old faces , met some new ones. Enjoyed it Gene and BOB , it was worth the 3 hour drive . kirby

I also had a lot of fun and will be back tomorrow. It was great.....and I ended up leaving with two more guns than I arrived with.
