Title: Questions about CZ 630.....
Post by: jeeperatt1 on February 15, 2013, 12:02:01 PM
Picked this up locally yesterday and I love it! I like CZ rimfires so I figured they would put as much effort and detail into their airguns and I was right. Thing is I think the place I found this at has MANY more in the back! Their price was $84 out the door. From what I can tell that a heck of a deal. And am I right that these are no longer imported??

Can I change out the spring for a little more power? Who would be the go to tuner for this shooter?

Thanks!!

slavia 630 an 631 are a nice gun an you got it for good price. I got mine off gun brokers awhile back for about the same price. Yes you can up the power on those I think you can get them to shoot in the low 700 mine stock shoots in the mid 500,s. You can order springs an seals from this guy. he imports them an sells on american airgun classifieds. slaviaguy@yahoo.com I don,t of a tuner off hand but I know theres guys out there. hope that helps.  There a very pleasant gun to shoot barrel is a little long but that,s ok by me. was going to chop but decide to leave as is. enjoy your slavia.

You found a gem.  Last I hear the importer had stopped importing the 630/631 a LONG time ago.

I have the Slavia 631.  More of a target stock and adjustable trigger, but same powerplant.

The 630/631 are nice low power rifles.  With low power guns you have to be careful, as the various mechanisms may not handle a boost in power.

My 631 has a loose bore and would probably benefit from a larger pellet.
My only beef is the non-standard 14mm sight rail, and it is a LONG rifle.
I shoot mine more than my R7, but not as much as my Daisy 953.

I agree with above posts. If you try to boost the 630 over 600fps it may become harsh - they are great low power 10m shooters... and of course you can stgretch them out to 25m if you're good.
The 14mm scope rail is troublesome, but with the right rings.. and there are a few BKL makes a set that won't break the bank, you can scope it. But... if you have good eyesight they are fine with the opens.
Enjoy. These rifles are still manufactured.
