Just got a Trail NP tonight. The first tin I grabbed it loves so far: JSB Match Jumbo Heavy... go figure. 8)

I was just given one by a buddy in trade for relaoding stuff.I ran through 100+ pellets this evening at 25 yards with the Centepoint 3-9.The trigger is so long and heavy its hard to concentrate though the pull.Even with that the better groups were under 1" (barely) and with both the Crosman PTD and HP pellets. The Gamo domes and RWS Domes were just about 1.25".I expect with a better trigger it will be a fine shooter.

Some go for new triggers, maybe I will too, someday. But, you can adjust the second stage which is what really matters to me. (Get the instructions from the Pyramyd Air or Corsman websites.) I adjusted stage two to be short, and it is plenty good. You can feel stage two fairly well with 30 min of practice.
Hope this helps.

I've been surprised to find that mine likes pellets that are heavier than what is recommended, with 15.0 grains being the upper limit. So, I guess mine is going to have a shorter service life because I enjoy the accuracy. I also put the GTX trigger in it and have ran about 4 to 5 hundred various pellets through the barrel.
The only thing I would criticize about the above video, is that I don't see that he either cleaned the barrel or fired several seasoning shots between all the different brands of pellets. It takes time and effort to really sort out what is going to work.

H&N FTT 5.53's by far. A couple others weren't bad, like CPHP and the JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo .22 Cal, 15.9 Grains, Domes were decent.

The fellow in the video said that he has found that Crosman guns like Crosman ammo. Not surprising. I am sure that Crosman engineers fire 10-100's of thousands of Crosman ammo during development. I have used a bunch of different ammo, but found good ol' Crosman Premier ammo to be very happy in Crosman guns. Not sexy, but it gets it done most of the time. that said, I still have a lot to learn.
I am going to try to establish a good all around ammo for each gun, then work outside that tin (pun intended) to find "specialty" ammo for say, hunting various types of critters.
Question, Polymags look evil, but are they. The Marauder's just seems to bring out the best in most ammo. This fellow (in another video) said that his Marauder was the only thing he had that shot Polymags well; and, further, they were outstanding in the MRod.
I am going to watch more of his vids. He has a good, intelligent, common sense approach (in my opinion).

Polymags shoot pretty well in my Trail too but they are pricey. Not sure about effectiveness though, as I haven't stopped any hearts with them yet. Typically my game of choice is chipmunks and pretty much any pellet does them in.
