Thought we should post pics of are kills we have gotten with cheaper guns. I have killed just as many squirrels maybe more with my 880 as my 392. With right placement power dosnt matter. I have taken many doves using a bb gun with a headshot and it was instant death.

I have taken pigeons with head shots, Starlings, and many squirrels and rabbits with my Crosman 760 and 66 Pumpers between 1980 and 1982, maybe early '83. I used to use Beeman Pointed pellets (Silverjets I think) and sometimes BB's. I did not own a camera then while I was in High School, but got a Polaroid that printed the instant pictures for my high school graduation in the summer of '83 :) In my senior year of high school the BB guns were in the closet most of the time because I was chasing girls and had senioritis :) I didn't take them out of the closet until 3.5yrs ago (25yrs later) but put them right back in, when I saw on the Internet how powerful new Springers had become, and the rest was history.. So no pics with old cheap AG's for me! :)

Several Fox Squirrels taken last year with a friends custom B3. ;D Ed

That is a nice lookin b3

How cheap is cheap? :) I've taken them with a TF 99 that I paid $70 for. Back in the day, you could get a TF 89 for about $120 that can take out a raccoon with ease.
-
If the dang Starlings would just do their part I could post several pictures of them taken with my 880 and 922. Both guns were dirt cheap, and both guns are perfect for yard sniping. I've taken countless birds with both guns, and I've taken several Eurasian Collard Doves with each gun. Photos to folow, soon I hope.

Under 120 i would say cheap. I love pumpers for backyard sniping. My 880 though died may get a crossman 2100 to replace it.

JPS42,
Sorry to hear about the 880 dying brother. Check out the classifieds on here man, I put up a worked crosman 760. I think you might be interested man. Its real nice.

I've taken more than a few starlings and squirrels with my $30 B-3 rifles. My .177 Fast Deer has also taken her share of yellow beaks and nutters, got that rifle for $30 bucks also if I remember correctly. My Winchester 800 .177 also has her share of yellow beak, pigeon and nutter kills,, got her for $29 bucks from sportsmansguide when I combined a sale and a coupon I had . Cheap guns harvest game just fine :)

Plenty of birds with a 1377 with a beater 4x32 scope at 10 to 15 yards

B3 and QB-57 kills on fur and feathers. Never took any pics nor did I ever think about it until I joined GTA! :) My hunting pics were mainly for larger game taken with powder burners.
-
I am going to get a crossman 2100 to shoot in the backyard. am using the old 880 barrel to teach myself how to recrown a barrel using a 3/8 inch ball bearing. Just need some grinding compound.
-
It looks like I may have had the cheapest gun? 760 pumper for $29.95 back in 1980! I think they still go for like $39.95. I had taken some birds with the $35 Shiloh CO2 pistol and Crosman 38!
-
Dang I wonder how much my Sheridan Blue Streak cost back in 1971? :)
-
my daisy 880, and my pl15xt pistol both sprung leaks. when i went to contact daisy about the parts, they offered to replace both of the guns free or charge. they even sent me a shipping label so i wouldn't have to pick up the shipping tab. seems like they have good customer service too!
-
My remington 77 had killed countless numbers of squirrels at 35 yards before I ever discovered magnum springers
-
Well thats the same gun as 2100. Want to get a phantom tune i heard thats a good cheap gun once tuned.

Sweeett! I've never seen a stainless B3,geez am I in heaven??
-
Many many many sparrows and starlings with my Daidy Red Ryder when I was a kid.The starlings appeared bulletproof until my uncle told me to shoot them from the back.
-
My Daisy 1894 had probably hundreds of chipmunks to its credit. Sadly gone now, a casualty of adolescence.
I think the most promising cheap gun I have is the QB57 ($56), but I just never seem to have that one in my hands when a critter is in range.

Wow this became more productive then i thought. I origionall started it because i think all of us get cought up in having the best that sometimes we forget some of the best hunting guns dont have to be real expensive. Power is nothing without accuracy. And many of these guns can keep up with springers at 25 yards no issue. Know back to the guns i am thinkin about pickin up a 2100 and dress it up abit. But i want a gun for open sights too. Down to daisy 901 or crossman powermaster 66
