Title: Shootin` the HW30s
Post by: harry palmer on January 29, 2013, 02:51:01 PM
Here`s couple of targets I`ve managed inbetween bouts of the awful windy rainy sleaty weather here in Scotland  :o

the little 3 shot group was done at 10 yards with JSB`s and the 5 shot was at 21 yards (as far as I can shoot in my garden!!)

Hi Harry, good shooting.  But you know, when you post pics of US Currency, along with weapons oriented info, you're asking for trouble. ;D

On the other hand, when your weather is so lousy, Germany will get the remainder in two days.  I'll shoot and compare the Euro coins then.  ;D

It looks like your HW30 is right up there with typical accuracy for those rifles.  Its shooting nearly like a match rifle at 10 meters and your 21 meter target isn't bad at all either.  How much magnification did you use on the scope for those targets?

Thanx ,the scope is an ancient Japanese Nikko 2nd hand 4x32; it was re-parellaxed by it`s previous owner and is fairly clear at 10 yards ,but crystal clear from 15 out to 35 yds ,then further out it`s not so good.
I`ve also had to become a south-paw recenty ,because of a problem with my right eye and the HW30s has made the transition a lot easier  :D

Take care

Kenny.

Nice garden gun Kenny, I use my 30 with a peep sight but I like the trigger so much I bought a 50 to scope.  Both have that nice clean break and shoot where you point them.

My cousins live in Armadale and Blackridge, you folk are hearty being out and about this time of year.  I remember working on my motor bike in the garage in his garden, the wind through the slats made frequent trips indoors to warm up for me.
