Got this one around midday today. Spotted a tail flickering around from behind an oak tree about thirty yards out, so I sat down and waited for the varmint to show itself. It kept moving around, and I was having a hard time spotting it through all the limbs and brush. I never could get a decent head shot to present, so I finally took a center body shot high in the lungs and the Eun Jin pellet raked the lungs and spine, dropping the squirrel instantly. It wasn't a very large specimen at all, but squirrels is squirrels I guess. Any day you get to take one is a fine day! ;D
REALLY liking this new Burris Timberline 4.5-14x scope. The fixed 4 Nikon I had on it was OK but my eyes are getting older and targets past 25 yards are needing magnified more. :'( I wanted something with more magnification, but not too bulky and heavy, as I really don't like big ol' clunky scopes on my guns, so the Burris seemed perfect. Excellent quality, sharp optically, not too big, and looks great on the Evanix.
