Title: Leaking CO2 tank.
Post by: dryanw on January 25, 2013, 02:33:28 PM
I have a brand new tank that has a slow leak. Its the third one I've recieved form Amazon, so not sure what to do. Most times I can the valve to seat properly if i open it up and close it a couple times. I am using a remote line to a QB, and I don't have a slide check yet so the way I remove the gas in the line is to unscrew the tank and let it out via the small hole in the tanks block (the part that screws into the tank) Am I freezing the valve in this process? Thanks for any info or tips.

You might be freezing the o-ring by exhausting through the block. Upon reinstalling the tank, the o-ring may or may not make another seal which may be why you have to turn it on and off a few times.

I ordered a slide check today, so hopefully that will solve that issue. Thanks for the info. So there's an oring inside the tank valve?
