Hi guys,
I'd like to find out what you guys do when you've finished your tune job, the gun has been tested and your happy with the results. When you say, OK, that's it for now. Maybe next year again.
How do you handle or treat the screws and bolts so that your safe to think they won't loosen. Like on scopes and trigger adjustment screws, maybe for the stock, things like this. Do you put something on the threads to make them stay tight? But yet loosen too if you want to get at them again.
Thanks in advance for replies.

Well I use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to decrease the bolts and holes. Could use lacquer thinner or acetone. I like the rubbing alcohol smell as it make me feel like a mad scientist at work in the mancave. Combined with the Q-tip I can see that I have totally cleaned both surfaces when the Q-tip is clean when done and the alcohol evaporates very fast. Then I use blue Loc-tite. Loc-tite brand is hard to find around here but will hold Much better than Permatex or any other discount brand that I have tried. I wont use that cheap stuff ever again as it most always fails to hold.
Hope this helps
Regards
Ray

Most of the time after a good tune in which I'm are pleased, I tend to look for something else being another AG. Lol
For the screws you may want use blue Loc-tite. It secures the screws but doesn't make them hard get loose. I place it on the stock screws which tend to come loose, never had to put it on scope screws but I think it should be fine.
Now go shoot your AG!!!!

I agree! When I am happy with a tune I start to look at the other AG's. As for the screws I just check them once in a while. ;D

;D ;D
Yeah, the gun is finished. To heck with them silly screws, time for a new gun! Hey, if I don't touch the thing because something new is there, the screws can't move by themselves. This way I can save money by not buying Loctite.
I noticed the adjustment screws on the trigger unit are very easily adjusted. I think I'll dab some alcohol on them and use the Loctite stuff.

Some have said to use nail polish to lock down screws for the trigger but everyone seems to agree to clean before application. Using Red locktite sounds almost the same as welding your screws. LOL

yes airnutz use finger nail polish as when you need to adjust , the small screws usually break or round the slot out breakin the locktite loose
