Title: Shoe Box directly to gun?
Post by: YoteMaster on January 18, 2013, 02:24:33 PM
If you have a Shoe Box can you just fill your gun directly (I have an MRod) to, say, between 2000-3000 (without using an intermediate tank)?

You need a shop compressor (at 85psi), to feed source air the shoebox. It further compresses it and then You can then directly connect the shoebox to fill your Mrod.

Don't know about the M-rod, but my AT44 takes about 10 min  from 100 bar to 200 bar.

Yes but you need a minimum 85 psi oiless compressor to be the activating source of the SB.  Believe I read somewhere about 7-10 minutes depending to charge a M-Rod.

You'd have to watch your pressure so you'd be ready to shut the shoebox off when you hit the desired pressure.

If ti is the new Freedom 8 shoebox you will need 125  psi steady feed and it will fill twice as fast.  Dont depend wholly on the MRod gauge some timeds they are wrong.   If you have a guage that came with your hose IMO I would use it.  Watch very closley either way.
