I purchased my HW97 .177 in December. Since then I've been trying to sort it out. I've found 2 pellets that shoot extremely well. 8.3 and 10.34 JSB's. Today, I chronographed the 10.3's and sighted it in at 35 yards. I figure I'll be shooting these at the FT matches in the coming spring.

According to Chairgun, this equates to 13.59 Ftlbs Energy.
This is a factory HW97. No modifications.

Good numbers on the .177. Out of the box, My 97 in .177 was shooting the JSB Heavy @792 ave. fps.
When you get a chance, try some H&N Field Target Trophy. Very accurate pellets!

That's pretty good:

The Standard deviation and spread should lessen with use.
Theae are not powerhouses out of the box, but still pretty good, and darned accurate.
