Just picked up my chrony from Walmart. Got the F-1. Used it on my FWB 124 .177 with the Pro-Mac kit and got 879.9 fps w/crosman Premier Hunters ( I think they are 7.4 gr) and 861.6 with the crosman Premier Destroyer 7.9 gr. I don't know what the gun did with the original spring because the seal was shot and I couldn't test it. I'm happy with the fps I'm getting. Tomorrow I'm going to test my RWS 34 .22 , I need to get better lighting though as I had trouble getting the readings at first. Do these readings seem about right for this rifle? I'd like to hear from other 124 owners. Thanks

I use an F-1 also , Its simple . I like the long lead on the screen , keeps it nice and safe .
I cant comment on the speeds your'e getting , as I dont have that type of rifle. Sounds good to me all the same .
Good luck

Congrats bro, prepare for enlightenment ;D ... and for the mysteries. My F1 gave me all kinda trouble until I quit using the whiteout screens. Now I just shoot over it with nothing but sky above and rarely ever get an error anymore. Maybe I get incorrect velocity's but if so ignorance is bliss . J

just dont shoot it as several have shot their cronys . i made a mark on each rod at the middle of its length as to shoot a consistant spot . i also mark where i stand so as to keep the muzzle about 4 ' from the crony . shooting at the same point on every string assures consistant readings . i have a red f-1 also and i like it

My 124 numbers were similar to yours, at 1st.
3k pellets later, about 20-30 fps less, but much more consistant and alot smoother shooting.
I figure the slight drop of speed, due to burning off excess lube. Higher numbers were
the result of some dieseling.
Have fun, run some more shots through it, and after 500 to 1k, you will have a very sweet shooter.
