Title: Chrony results & DIY lights
Post by: peterdulux on January 01, 2013, 08:18:27 PM
Here are a series of chrony results using 3 different guns and 7 different pellets.
My conclusion is that CHPC are not a good pellet based on the numbers shown, erratic fit- from too tight -too loose, not seating properly.
I am aware boxed Premiers are better but have never purchased them.

All the RWS fit easily, snugly and consistently. I did not attempt accuracy tests as this test itself took several hours.

H&N all fit nicely as did the Predators.

Looks over these results for yourself and make any observations you see.

I will probably do this again at some point with other guns and other pellets.

Chrony results pic too small. Sorry.

Good numbers and DIY setup.
Those HW's sure are consistent.

Would like to point something out if you do not mind. I have the lighting kit for my chrony, the lights are above the white diffusers. wonder if you will get different numbers with the lights focusing on the diffusers acting as a cloudy sky.

You need to put the light above the screens.

Here is how I've done it for a couple of years,  over 50 shots/readings yesterday with no errors;
Cheep 3 LED closet stickup lihgts just set on the screens.  Not attached.
Even with room lights out, works great.

I'll try above the diffusers, just to let you know, it does work below too.
