Title: Help with Leverage/XS46U teardown. please
Post by: dukemeister on January 01, 2013, 05:18:53 PM
I will want to tear down my Leverage before too long.
I have examined it form the outside, and I'm wondering how to attach a spring compressor around the plastic thumb slide mechanism at the rear. It looks to me that the plastic is quite flimsy, and the main x-pin attaches it to the receiver.  Any help appreciated, even better if you have a tear down guide for this one.

For now, I have just dribbled my moly concoction on the trigger and spring and am letting it settle. But like I said within a few weeks (days) I will have the urge to see what's inside, polish debur and do a proper lube.

<EDIT> After reading 100+ posts on this and the UK Chinese forum and elsewhere, I now realize that the XS46U is virtually the same as the XS38 and close to the QB36-2. I found a good strip down guide for the XS38 over on the UK Chinese, so that will do. Still, how to deal with all the plastic at the back of the Leverage remains a concern to me... Thanks.

I use a round steel pin that fits in the slot and align it in the middle of the end cap, the cocking block from a QB-78 works well also...you will need to take the trigger completely apart and remove all the cocking parts before removing the internals...

Thanks Mike... I shot single hole groups with it today, that has settled my urge to tear it down immediately. 8)

you can get some of the twing out by lubing the two small springs on the slide with tar or heavy grease...
