Hello everyone,
I have been offered a nearly new Crosman 1077 for a very reasonable price. I hear this little rifle is a lot of fun BUT I also hear that is is un-reliable. Have any owners on the GTA had problems with theirs? Before I stump up the cash I'd like your input.
Many thanks :-)

Well I like mine BUT I did have to take two of the three that I own apart, to get them to work correctly. Mostly just replacing the seals which are less than 2 bucks each. I also deburred some of the metal stamping for the trigger and barrel.
If you can get a used one for around $30 bucks or less then get it, fun for target practice.

Thanks for the info. I am in England and I'll be paying about $45 in your money. A new one in the UK costs about $160 so I'd be making a nice saving. I don't mind a bit of tinkering but no too much ;D

Had one for a couple years. Tons of easy shooting fun and lots of dead squirrels;)

Mine wouldn't advance when I got it, but it just took taking the mag apart and putting it back together to fix it. Other than that it's performed like clockwork and is unexpectedly accurate.
Here's a clip offhand at 15 yards. The flyer was my fault.

Thanks Alan.
That's good shooting. I want the rifle for coke can bashing mainly. Maybe a waste if it is an accurate shooter but I like to un-wind after work with a cup of tea and some can bashing ;D
thanks,

One more thing about the ammo cartridge is that once you load a pellet clip in it, you need to make sure its lever is locked in all the way otherwise it won't advance.
And its easy to mod, both of the pics in my avatar are 1077's.

I use my 1077 for can bashing all the time. Hard to beat the satisfaction of the plink-plink-plink of a semi-auto on cans.
