Title: Crosman Customer Service Rocks!
Post by: lurch420gam on December 27, 2012, 05:30:35 PM
Probably a month before Christmas, my mother ordered up some parts from Crosman for me as a Christmas gift.  I gave her all the part numbers and she called it in. I was home when Brown Santa delivered the package, but didn't open it. I figured (correctly) that Mom would want to wrap it and put it under the tree. So the package didn't get opened till Christmas morning. Well...some of the parts were there, some weren't, and there was even one item that I hadn't ordered at all. I asked Mom, and she said she'd read all the part numbers EXACTLY as I'd written them. So I pulled up the diagram and double checked that I'd written everything down correctly in the first place. I had.  Hmmmm. I'd ordered a .22 barrel assembly and all the small parts necessary to convert my .177 G-1 Extreme to .22. So I needed a cocking linkage, link pin, adjust washer, breech seal, live jam and jam spring. I got the linkage, link pin, live jam and spring, but the adjust washer was missing (but on the invoice), the breech seal wasn't even on the invoice and worst of all, the barrel assembly was a .177. Drat! I had also mistakenly thought that the barrel assembly came with the muzzlebrake. I called up Crosman customer service and spoke with a very helpful fellow who told me to simply send him the incorrect parts and a list of what hadn't been shipped, direct to his desk. He told me he would personally go down to the parts room and retrieve the correct items, including the muzzlebrake and breech seal, which I hadn't even been charged for, and send it all to me with no shipping charge. I was disappointed when I found that the order had been messed up, but I certainly can't complain about them making it right. I figure the free parts and shipping make up for the mistake pretty handily. Kudos to Crosman's customer service department. Joel.

Same happened to me once Joel. They made it right indeed. If only I had bought on Tuesdays to use their 20% coupon it would have saved me quite a bit.

My only problem with them right now is its impossible to get an upper trigger sear. No matter what you do when you order the part number, you get a tigger sear washer. No amount of explaining to CS will fix it. I've given up.

Ryan post a thread in the machinist forum here asking someone to make you one, and a wtb thread in the classifieds forum here asking someone to sell you one of theirs, then go with whatever received offer you prefer.
