You definitely have to learn to shoot the dang thing; I'm too old to have to relearn how to shoot an air-rifle.

I have had two X10's - same as X20 but with a plain wood stock and no raised cheekpiece.  They were actually very accurate and not very hold sensitive at all.  But I've never shot a pro sport.

the x20 was the first springer i bought in 20 years. i thought i just didnt know how to shoot any more. then i got the b28 and was shocked that i could hit what i was aiming at. gonna take the x20 apart this winter and make sure the seal and spring is ok since a friend of mine dry fired it twice the day i got it back from mike.

yep Steve that probably ruined the seal! Bryan the PS is just like shooting anyother springer! its just more refined and nicely built and has an excellent trigger, powerplant and barrel! but other than that its just a spring gun! I do like to tinker with newer guns that I haven't worked on before and I haven't bought a springer in a good while! so I got the itch to play with a new gun, and I know BAM makes a pretty good gun and I would think the Stoeger line would be a little more refined from the older offerings from Bam but I could be wrong that's why I'm asking about them, I know the GRT will work in them which is a + tho probably not as good as rekord set up in the B26 the GRT is a pretty good trigger if you get it adjusted right! I'm kick-in around the idea on this and want your guy's thoughts on this!  ;D:P

I'm not a hater of the Stoeger; a nice looking rifle and pretty good quality. It took five squirrel but I just had a heck of a time being consistent with it. The problem wasn't the rifle so much as the shooter and the purchase of other desirable rifles on the heels of that purchase...it was neglected and not given the proper chance to perform in my hands. The guy who bought it from me is well satisfied with it's performance. It is probably among the better made chinese air rifles.

As with all the Chinese rifles, the Stoeger guns benefit a lot from just being cleaned up and given a fresh piston seal, perhaps a dental floss shim in the breech seal.  Plus the GRT -III fits and makes a difference like night and day.  Use a JM E3650 with a little heavy spring tar, and a apex small seal, light moly on the piston... yiu know the routine.  The factory springs work great, too, but the jm spring will last a lot longer and be a little smoother in my experience
