Title: How to age a SCBA Tank
Post by: Dixiedog on December 19, 2012, 09:40:18 PM
How do you tell what the year of manufacture is on a carbon fiber SCBA tank?   I see the DOT label but I'm not sure where to find the year/ month.

See it in this picture,it is on the left center of the tank label, top center of the picture. It is a 1 which is the month then a triangular symbol followed by the 03 which is the year of mfg.

Thanks for the info, that looks close to what my bottle looks like....mine has a 10 then a CL and then a 12 so I'm assuming it was made October of 2012 ?

Good deal, at the price of tanks if I start saving now I'll have almost enough to buy another one in 2027  ;D

Just ask it.

Couldn't resist. As others have said, it'll be on the label.
