I saw a near new HW 45 on an auction site , the price was very fair , so I grabbed it instantly . It's only fired about 500 shots according to the owner who has had it since new .
I used an HW 45 about 30 years ago and was really impressed with the power , the fit in my hand , the trigger , the iron sights , and the overall quality of the manufacture .I reckonned that one day I'll own one of these .
Today I had that opportunity , still in its original box with instruction booklet and 500 pellets. I couldnt resist.
When it arrives I'll post some pics .
The manufacturers serial number is :387915 , any feedback on its age will be great , Ill email Weihrauch as well .
Merry Christmas ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Supaflee

It's arrived , my beautiful Weihrauch HW 45 .177 cal .
It's in immaculate condition , unmarked .
Sadly the packaging has been absolutely destroyed during transit .
Thank goodness the pistol itself was'nt damaged. I reckon the polystyrene inner which the pistol lay in was the saving grace . The pistol had literally bashed itself through the polystyrene and disintegrated the polystyrene into 1000's of little bits . The cardboard outter box is a ruin ,which of course now detracts from the intrinsic value of the entire item .
Whilst Im annoyed , Im also very pleased to at last have the pistol of my dreams .
I'll try to put up some pics for you . I dont seem to be able to get the pics to load , it keeps saying the files are too large . Darn .

that would sorta peepee me off as the original box makes a little more to the value and it just dont seem right without the box

Yesterday I had an opportunity to test the thesis that sometimes the hw45 needs to be dry fired to restore power. In my case, it worked remarkably well.
I have been shooting mine a lot on low power because it is quieter. When I shot it over the crony yesterday, power was down quite a bit from new. New, it shot JSB 8.4gr at about 535-540fps. After much use on low power, it shot about 450-455fps yesterday morning. Somewhat reluctantly, I gave it three dry fires on high power. A shot over the crony showed power back at 535-540fps exactly. After several hundred shots at high power, it remained at that level. No fade.
Good news is that after 500-600 shots mine has almost stopped dieseling.

Thanks for that EMrider .
As soon as I get the opportunity to set up my chrony , I'll get some Ballistics info for you for the HW 45 .
The only pellets I've got at the moment in .177 cal are ;
Marksman .177 , 6.6 grain round/dome head .
Killwell .177 , 7.0 grain pointed head (hunting)
Gamo Pro Magnum .177 , 7.8 grain dome head .
H&N Barracuda Match .177 , 10.49 grain dome head
(I've also got some H&N 15.74 grain Rabbitt Magnum's , but I'll be keeping them for the Diana 460 )
It may be after Christmas when I get to do this , as I've got lots of visitors here at the moment with small kids running around everywhere .
