* This hammer for a REGULATED application *
;) More custom work with a big tip of the hat too Bob ( rsterne ) for sharing a design idea that I promptly manufactured specific for my regulated M-rod. See: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,39387.msg367747.html#msg367747 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,39387.msg367747.html#msg367747)
Outer hammer material is MDS "Molybdenum Disulfide Filled Nylon" which has very high anti wear properties and self lubricating.
Inner adjustable portion DelrinŽ acetal resin.
Both pieces thread together on 5/8-18 threads that happen to be quite a snug fit ( a good thing )
Within Delrin portion a S.S. 1/4-20 screw acting as striker button on valve stem and it's head a centering spud for hammer spring.
*It's threaded in with RED grade loc-tite permanently fixed. Turning it's 3/16" cap screw head rotates the inner part independent of hammers outside which is held from rotating by the cocking lug/screw indexed in slot top of receiver.
* Previous testing showed +/- 28g as ideal hammer weight ... this one right at 27.8g ;)
With this design as hammer travel is reduced or increased, the Hammer spring Pre-load DOES NOT CHANGE ;D

Read the thread linked above for a more in depth discussion of the theory/ thoughts behind it.
