Hey gang, what is the maximum length for a pellet in the Mrod .22 magazine?
Thanks in advance.

Predators are too long, Kodiak/Baracudas are OK....

Some Eun Jin .22 pellets were too long where they scraped against the clear cover where I had to lift the cover for it to slide over and it would not slide when the spring tried to cycle a round which resulted in a mag jam where I had to tap on the mag several times to make it budge so it would cycle all the way, but other pellets fit just fine. Other people have had no problems with Eun Jins in their mags so it's just a inconsistent manufacturing issue with those pellets where you would have to avoid using the longer ones or modify the mag to hold them.

Thanks guys. Can you give me an idea in inches or millimeters?

The inside front of the magazine is not flat, there is a groove that makes the center deeper than the edges.... To the center groove, the inside of the magazine is 0.383", and to the outside flat, it is 0.356" deep inside.... If the pellet is pointed, it can be longer, by how much depends on the exact shape of the nose.... There may be a production tolerance, I only measured one mag....

Thanks, Bob. So one could most likely fit a round nosed pellet right at .375 overall length in there.

I doubt it.... the groove is only about 0.070" wide (guesstimate), so very little of a round nose pellet would fit into it.... 0.360" long might not even fit.... The groove would allow a point like on a Predator to fit if the pellet was short enough (which it isn't).... The 8-shot PRod magazines are deeper, incidently, and a Pred will fit.... but the PRod magazines won't fit in an MRod....

You can take a small dremel rounded head bit and flatten the little bead in the black plastiic inside bottom for the preds to fit. The mags are easy to take apart and put back together with I believe a .050 allen wrench. grind the bead easily and gingerly. Sorry no pic.
