Title: Trail NP/XL Plastic slider.
Post by: Afmuse76 on October 27, 2012, 08:15:25 PM
I don't know what this piece is called. Crosman doesn't have it on their parts list, nor do they have a part number for it. They have not sourced it from the chinese manufacturer before. Mine fell out of it's little slot on the lever assembly. It is ment to act as a sliding surface to prevent the lever assembly from sliding metal on metal with the action tube. Well when mine fell out it got hung up in the action and came out all chewed up. So rather then wait I carved me out a new one from PVC. I have to say, my gun has never cocked so smooth in it's life. I have done the GRT trigger and Gene washer and bushing upgrades, deburred the Action and piston/seerer hole. Lubed her up as recommended and now she is a smooth cocking machine.

You sure need it, it will cock smoother.  You have to make one or order the whole slide bar.

If you order the cocking link from Crosman, it comes with the plastic slider. Only way I know to get the original.

A slider with more area against tube, or at least a slider that wobbles less as it is forced into contact with tune can't hurt.
Well done indeed ~!!~

Looks like you found a tiny cash cow. Why not make a few and sell them for cheap? I'd throw a dollar and a self addressed stamped envelope your way.

Great idea...necessity is mother of inventions.  The zip-tie idea is great also....I will try that if ever I need to.
