I decided to change out my disco trigger assembly with the Marauder trigger assembly. I received the assembly along with the Challenger Hammer, Striker, and trigger guard from Crosman. I have installed the trigger assembly but am a little stumped on how the Challenger trigger guard is mounted. Is there additional hardware or modification that is required for this procedure? I've scoured the forums and net and have not had any luck.

It looks to me like you have to tap the hole in the MRod trigger group to accept a screw to hold the Challenger guard.... I presume on the Challenger there is a screw that passes through both and screws into the main tube.... You may also be able to countersink the trigger block from the back and use a nut and bolt to fasten the guard in place.... Sorry to be vague, but I haven't mounted mine yet.... There is definitely a hole in the MRod trigger block that lines up with the mounting hole for the Challenger guard....

Yeah, Bob, that makes sense. It appears that the trigger guard hole on one end lines up with one of the holes in the tube that needs to be tapped for a screw. I did not notice a hole on the side of trigger block but I'm sure it's there and I can tap that as well. I will also apparently need to have the hammer modified. This I will have to have sent out to someone who does this kind of modification as I have no power tools that will accomplish this and frankly I don't want to screw it up, lol.

That is a good option, Norm, and will keep that in mind if I decide in the future to go toward that trigger guard. As I already have the Challenger trigger guard and the installation seems relatively easy, I will give that a go first.

You did not find it necessary to tap and put a second screw into the trigger block?
